This is an entertaining read as well as a fascinating glimpse of a bygone age. A light and humorous look back on the authors time as a member of HM Judiciary in one of the many far flung colonies. Highly recommended. Too many people might have been tempted to take themselves too seriously in this kind of position, but clearly not the author who comes across as both interesting and self-deprecating.
