Real-life? Really? Some stories I get the others I didn't. However I do believe that there is something to the age old adage of life after death but this book doesn't touch on the adage!! Still it's put together well and because of some of the tales well worth buying.

I found the contents of this book to be very interesting. A lot of the places investigated, are well known and I found the information obtained by the team of investigators, challenged that of some previous celebrity teams. Very honest read

The last 15 or so years has seen a huge shift of emphasis in the way regional organisations research an investigate anomalous experiences. The advent of `Most Haunted' has seen an explosion of interest in people wanting to set up their own little groups so they can run around various alleged haunted locations scaring each other to death on a Saturday night. While all of this goes on, serious, scientific based regional groups plod on doing the serious research.

Unfortunately this book (and the other by the same author) details the (mis)adventures of one regional group who seem to have convinced not only themselves but the author too, that seances, ouija boards and contacting `spirits' is somehow scientific.

Now there is nothing wrong, in essence anyway, with this Phenomenology of looking at the subject, but this book fails to put these experiences into any form of historical context or even outlining that there are alternative approaches. Books dealing with memorates are interesting because they give us an insight into the zeitgeist. However the lack of context, unfortunately gives a naive feel to the books and a feeling of `The Secret Seven investigate the Occult'.

I lost count of how many locations our intrepid hero's had investigated and detected a spirit presence. One story blended into another. There is the occasional nod to waving an EMF meter around in the hope that this sounds scientific (it isn't!).

The writing style of the author is easy going, although he lets himself down with some of the research - take leys for example - energy lines and a vortex - it was like being back in the 1980s - the paradigm shift created by Devereux, Sullivan, Palmer et al never seems to have happened!

As a paranormal investigator myself, I thought I would buy this book to read about other paranormal teams adventures. I have to say, I really enjoyed reading this book and found it very interesting. The stories are from real life investigations and some stories are similar to encounters that I have experienced on investigations. This is a great book and well written and I would recommend it to anyone. I am looking forward to reading more of Peter Drakes books in the future.

My favourite subject because it scares and fascinates me at the same time. I am a sceptic because I haven't actually had a first-hand ghostly experience.

The book has some very weird and 'tingly' tales although I have to be honest and say that they are all very similar in their delivery and outcomes. However, still well worth the £0.49p I paid!!!

A great free book. I read it thinking that it was going to be helped by a few people off a well know haunted program.
It seems to be written in truth.
I'm not going to spoil it...........download it and see for yourself.
