This has to be one of my daughter's favourites and I have lost count of the number of times I have read this, and of how many times daily we have to read this! Thoroughly recommend.

My daughter was given this hardback for her 1st birthday and it has been a firm favourite ever since (she's now 2 and a half).

Great collection of Julia Donaldson stories, lovely pictures, sturdy flaps to add interest and the paperback format means you can pack 3 fabulous stories in a bag for holiday/ trip out without taking up too much room or weight. Most importantly my son (2 years) loves it and it has been read over and over. Brilliant book.

This beautiful book has cardboard pages (but not a board book) that are strong enough to stop my 11 month old ripping them! The three rhyming stories are delightful and having a lift the flap on each double page is wonderful for keeping little ones involved in the book. I have already recommended this to several people. It is also approximately a4 in size so the pictures are lovely and big for pointing out different things throughout the story.

What a beautiful book

It really engages my two and four year old. They love to lift the flap, taking it in turns to have a go

They know the stories word for word, but the flaps add that extra twist

Simple stories, age appropriate and familiar feel. The illustrations and animals are all the traditional Donaldson characters as seen in the gruffalo and stick man

My children (2 and 1) love this book. The stories are very basic and are quick to read, the children love taking it in turns to lift the flaps and see who is behind them. We've had this a while now and it is still a favourite bedtime book.

This is a lovely book containing three stories. We already had Fox's Socks, and my son loves lifting the flaps in that one so I looked for the rest in the series and found them all in this handy volume. It's not a sturdy board book so not as easy to use but my son manages fine and loves going through all the book in one go. The illustrations are gorgeous.

Fantastic set of stories.
The book contains 3 out of 4 stories from Acorn Wood (Rabbit's Nap, Postman Bear, Hide and Seek Pig) Luckily we had purchased Fox's Socks as a board book first. (This also is the cheapest way to get all 4 stories)
The stories are well written and the pictures are beautiful (as expected from such a wonderful and well established duo)
My 2 year old son thoroughly enjoys the stories and lifting the flaps and the book has been well read.
