The Amazon.com information IS WRONG. The book has NEVER been published. The 2012 date give on the website must have been a placeholder for a release date that wasn't met. The book was NOT published in 2012, and has NEVER been published. As of January 2015, it has a tentative release date of Summer 2015. Please stop 1-starring the book when it hasn't even been released yet, just because the author hasn't finished it yet - his son was almost killed, with an extremely serious set of debilitating injuries. Show that Fantasy fans are a cut above, and give the man some peace and show some patience to let him deal with personal life tragedies instead of worrying about your fiction reading playtime. People are doing the same thing to George Martin with the Song of Ice and Fire series, being horrible and mean-spirited because he doesn't work on their timetable. There are a TON of other great books to read in the meantime, so let's show some class and let the man do what he needs to do! Be glad these guys don't just pull the plug as the ultimate spite to all the mean-spirited, whiny child-adults verbally abusing them. Where else does that happen?? You cruelly berate somebody to get them to give you want you want? Seriously? Go grab something from Brandon Sanderson, or Robert Jordan, or Raymond Feist, or Stephen Donaldson, or David Eddings, or Terry Brooks, or Tad Williams, or 'papa' Tolkien, or David Gemmell, or George R.R. Martin, or the Hickman/Weis duo, or Steven Erikson, or Glen Cook, or something by one of the (relative) newcomers who are on fire, like Joe Abercrombie, Patrick Rothfuss, Anthony Ryan, Scott Lynch, Mark Lawrence, etc!! While we wait for Mr. Farland to take care of his family's needs and, if he is WILLING, to continue his Runelords saga, there is PLENTY of awesome fantasy to read!
Let's face it...God has always been plenty patient with us, so I don't think it's asking much to show patience ourselves.
