    Das Buch geht definitiv über die Darstellung der Proteste in (deutschen) Medien hinaus. Der Autor erläutert detailliert und gut verständlich wie es zu dem Ausbruch der Proteste kam und stellt klar, dass es keine plötzliche Eruption war. Vielmehr stellt er dar, dass eine Vielzahl an Ereignissen das gern genannte Fass zum überlaufen gebracht hat. Außerdem wird die Stadt, das Land, die Kultur näher beschrieben. Es ist lesenswert für Touristen, für deutsche die in Deutschland und auch für solche die in der Türkei / in Istanbul leben.
