This is great! These two guys, Tom Kelly and Billy Steinberg sure made it after this album didn't take off.
Some of their classics:
Madonna: Like A Virgin
Pretenders: I'll Stand By You
Divinyls: I Touch Myself
Whitney: So Emotional
Bangles: Eternal Flame
Cyndi Lauper: True Colors
Heart: Alone
Wow, just wow! As for this product, it's a treasure for me. Though production wise I'm not mad in love, but the fruits of their early collaboration here is blossoming with some great tunes. Steinberg wrote the lyrics while Kelly composed the music. They don't write together anymore as Kelly has left the business but Steinberg is still around making it pop. Check it out, 4 stars from me.

5.0 out of 5 stars original review AOR Classics magazine - Issue 1 - July 1993 8 Aug. 2013
By stargazer68 - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
Now we're talking!!! In my opinion this is the definitive AOR album and the one by which all others should be measured. I still play this almost every week and have done so for the past three years. As you probably know, i-TEN were basically a duo of songwriters Steinberg and Kelly. These guys have collected together ten of the highest quality cuts you are ever going to hear on a single release, played by a host of the top players from the West Coast session scene.

The title track and "I Don't Wanna Loose You" are cracking rock songs, featuring strong melody with an upfront mix of Keyboard and Guitar interplay. Conversely, "I've Been Crying" and the legandary "Alone" are killer ballads, highlighting Tom Kelly's emotive voice. Elsewhere, "Lonely In Each Others Arms" is a poignant, sparse song, based on a simple synth hook and haunting vocals, whilst "Quicksand" is a consummate slice of quirky pop-rock. Production, as you would expect from probably the best in the business, is crystal clear throughout, complementing the flawless musicianship.

Even though Steinberg and Kelly have since found their fortune composing for mainstream artists, this release remains unknown outside of the AOR community. Will we ever see the likes again? Timeless!!!
