Australia released, PAL/Region 0 DVD: LANGUAGES: English ( Dolby Digital 2.0 ), SPECIAL FEATURES: Booklet, Box Set, Cast/Crew Interview(s), Interactive Menu, Multi-DVD Set, Photo Gallery, Scene Access, SYNOPSIS: He's the ultimate smooth operator: handsome, debonair and charming enough to melt your heart while relieving your bank account of its very last cent. He's Alexander Mundy, cat burglar by trade and now ex-con, pardoned by the government on one condition: that he puts his extraordinary procurement talents to work as a secret agent for the USA. Spying is a decisively deceptive business and Mundy is top notch, traipsing across glamorous European locations disguised as a millionaire playboy, seducing women and stealing all while enjoying a government pay cheque! Robert Wagner returns for the second season of It Takes a Thief, which became a global phenomenon at the height of the sixties spy craze thanks to its high fashion, cool music, snappy dialogue fun plots. Part Mission: Impossible, The Man from U.U.C.L.E. and To Catch a Thief, with a dash of The Saint and James Bond, this 7 disc set presents all 26 episodes from the second season including a newly recorded interview with Robert Wagner. So hide your valuables and join Al Mundy on a criminal caper!

A blast down memory lane. I remember this show used to be on Friday night in the early Seventies. The amazing thing was just how wafer thin some of these plot lines were, & prize 'Red wood' the performances. But lets not get too critical here, this is an enjoyable romp, with a swanky Robert Wagner breezing his way through some pretty idiotic capers.
I enjoyed the fact, like Austin Powers, every country in the world, Al Mundy & team visit, still looks like a Burbank back lot. Superb! I was rather hoping some Beefeaters were going to appear in one of the supposedly UK based episodes. Just a word to the wise, audiences were not as sophisticated back then, so plotting feels leaden, action staged, & the scripting trite.
But despite that, enjoy some very pretty women, Bob Wagner throwing some groovy moves, & an irritable Malachi Throne as Wagner's long suffering boss.

The continuation of an already wonderful show. I am a huge Robert Wagner fan, and this is a offering from the late 60's. See my Season 1 review of the show.
