Fantastic story that really helped both myself and my partner to reignite some spice into the bedroom.
My partner has always loved dinosaurs from a young age and I myself love the idea of dressing up in different outfits and role-playing scenarios that could be considered odd.
Taken by the T-Rex has allowed us to fuel both of our less conventional, sexual desires whilst also giving us an interesting and gripping story to read.
I could not a rate this e-book highly enough.

The set up is rather long and a little comical comical, especially re: one griefstruck caveman walking around with his wife's severed foot. The sex comes rather late in the day, but once it does it's not bad, though it finishes rather abruptly (the book, that is, ARF). Overall, kudos to these ladies, who I read about in a magazine article; they've really NAILED their niche.

Dickens. Tolstoy. Rowling. What do all three of these have in common? None of these writers have had the nerve, the skill, or the determination to take on the most difficult genre out there: dinosaur erotica. So thank God Christie Sims has, and what a fine job she makes of it too.
The picture that Sims paints of our protagonist, and eventual dinosaur lover, Drin is both vivid and subtle. In her, we find a woman torn between her human femininity and her animalistic urges. This central theme of the book is the author deeply exploring Freud's conception of the battle between the id and super-ego. What I enjoyed most about the treatment of this theme is how the author cleverly juxtaposes the high brow themes with the low brow, simplistic and childlike writing style, the dichotomy a masterful symbolic representation of Drin's struggle.
Sims' attention to detail is second to none. Although the book is a mere 19 pages, it really does feel a lot longer. Each word feels carefully deliberated over and the writer style exudes a confident understanding of not only how the English language, but a real grasp of both the dinosaur and erotic elements that one comes to expect from something bravely billed as 'dinosaur erotica.'
The phrase 'big lizard' is mentioned on the first page no less than three times, and is a recuring motif throughout the book. Far from making you wish the author has access to a thesaurus or wonder if they are 6 years old, this repetition really emphasizes the 'big'-ness and 'lizard'-ness of the dinosaur, and creates a real sense of foreboding akin to any of the best exponents of Gothic horror or Stephen King.
I found the passage where the villagers, grief stricken by the 'big lizard's' latest attack and murder of innocents, debate what action to take next both heartbreaking and inspiring. Such is the author's mastery over language, I almost felt as if I was there, dressed in a simple loincloth, mourning the fact my entire family had been all chewed up by a 'big lizard.'
It is a testament to the authors skill that you almost forget that there is an erotic element to come as you are engrossed in the chase sequence between Drin and the T Rex. It could almost be said that it seems the author has forgotten too, as mid-chase, there is an unexplained and large tonal shift as Drin goes from trying to outwit a ferocious beast that killed her family and friends to being 'suddenly as horny as hell.' But I think, in some ways, we can all relate to this.
It would do the work a disservice for me to try and adequately describe the erotic scenes here. They truly have to be read to be believed. The inter-species lovemaking is described with a brutal, yet sensual feel, the coarse language contrasting the forbidden joy that our heroine experiences and the hands (more accurately claws) of our now extinct Casanova.
Yes, Sims does take artistic license with some of the paleontological aspects of the book (deer and T Rex did categorically not co-exist, and the world of science can only estimate as to the length of a T Rex's member, which the author confidently pegs at two feet and 'thick as an arm'.) But this can, and must, be forgiven.
This book does pose one of the most confounding questions of human existence: would it be worse to be eaten by a T Rex, or not eaten, but sexually assaulted? The real triumph of Sims' work is that she does not answer this question, but uses tremendous moral ambiguity to make us all consider and try and untangle, if we indeed can, this complex web of morality, sexuality, and big dinosaur dongs. Simply excellent.

I read this in about ten minutes. Well worth the money. So bad. So very bad. But also so so good.

Who else has had the strength and courage to approach the sensitive subject of women-on-dino love? Austen

What can I say, Christie Sims is master of her work. Who else has had the strength and courage to approach the sensitive subject of women-on-dino love? Austen? Shelley? No, they all pale in comparison, they would have backed away from such a subject with shame and disgust. A brave woman this Sims, may you continue with your epic writing journey.

99p for a ten minute read makes this a relatively expensive book. For that you get simple grammar, an even simpler story, and absolutely nothing to get excited about. I give it one star because it is original. If you are into dinosaurs, I doubt you will like the simplicity in which the big lizard is described.
Unless you want to see what the fuss is about, save your money. If you can get it free, it's worth a look just for the experience!

Bought this as a joke for a friend but it's so terrible it doesn't even work as that. It tries to be knowing which means it doesn't work as a "so bad it's good" gift; it's just bad.
