About the Author

KC Royale started writing at the tender age of nine years old. Being the only girl in a house with four brothers, she used writing as a way to occupy her time. Her curiosity grew into her creating poems and short stories in various genres, which then grew into a love of writing all types of stories. Having grown up in the Washington Metropolitan Area, she got a lot of her inspiration from life, love and nature. She currently lives in Maryland with her family and her ever present laptop. When she is not writing she enjoys watching movies, theatre, cooking, traveling, and listening to soft rock music. She is also an avid reader who enjoys a good romance, erotica or thriller novel to pass the time.

Words cannot express how much I love this work. The author did an excellent job of describing the characters and their feelings towards each other.
I was intrigued throughout the story of Kathleen and Jonathan. Do you believe in second chances? Do you believe that distance makes the heart grow stronger?
You will definitely need to read the story of Kathleen and Jonathan.
I was given an ARC for my honest review of Taken Love and I loved it!!! Thank you

HASH(0x9b0f7c00) out of 5 stars Good second chance story 14 April 2015

3.5 stars. This is second chance romance between Kathleen and Johnathan who were high school sweethearts although their romance didn't start off very sweet. Kathleen is a very devoted and intelligent student, she doesn't socialize much, never mind pay attention to boys. She is focused on getting into a top notch college. Johnathan transfers to her school halfway through senior year and when their eyes meet, they both feel a magnetic pull to each other. Johnathan seemed to be playing Kathleen and it hurts her feelings badly, while he continues to parade around school with a different girl every week, including Kathleen's best friend. While this is in Kathleen's high school POV, I think the feelings she experiences are quite normal but I'm not sure about her limited vocabulary because she keeps calling Johnathan an a$$hole repeatedly when she doesn't know what else to say, yet this girl is worthy of an Ivy League education. Once Johnathan properly pursues her and shows her what a loving guy he can be, they are solid as a couple and get married, only to have Kathleen's heart break again when she discovers why they got married. Moving forward 6 years later, this part of the story alternates between both of their POVs. The more adult side of them definitely reflects the growth and maturity in the writing of their voices. Johnathan is willing to do anything and everything to win Kathleen back and has been searching relentlessly for her. I liked Johnathan quite a bit. For someone who acts one way on the outside, he really has genuine intentions when it comes to Kathleen and I admired how strongly he clung to her memory and remained devoted to her in his own way after so long. As for Kathleen, I liked her too, she's very independent and strong willed, but she was also very giving and loyal. The storyline was a little flat for me just because nothing about it was earth shattering for all the dramatics to have happened to the proportion that it did since communication is key in a relationship, but I understood their youth, too, and how it shaped them later on so they could be who they needed to be for one another.

HASH(0x9ad337f8) out of 5 stars High School to Adult Love through the test of time 30 Mar. 2015

As you read this book you will be taken on a teen to adult journey of first & true Love. Our Story begins with Kathleen Toth- Chamberlin & her senior year of High school. Never having ever felt a pull towards any boys in her school or else where, she is a determined and focused young lady set on an Ivy League Path. Until the day he walks into her homeroom class Johnathan Pierce. The boy who would turn her life inside out and up side down with out even trying. This story is filled with emotion and confusion. Your heart will dive right in and fill with the Love that is revealed. It also will break and hurt as the turns and twist take a hold of it. I enjoyed this story, The getting to know of the main characters was very interesting and eye opening. I found the ability of the author to express her version of the High School romance to be commendable. As I am sure most of us understand the high school First love can be a very dramatic and Unforgettable one. By the end of this Story you will find yourself in the very Adult world of these two and at times even wonder what took them so long. My only criticism for this book is although we are Taken by Johnathan from teen to adult we miss out on a lot of what Kathleen went through in her time away. I would of loved to see & hear her experiences with life while she was off on her own so to speak . I do look forward to reading more By KC Royale in the future
