I have loved all the Willow Creek series and Take A Chance is definitely in the running for my favourite!
Arden is such a wonderful character and OMG Hayes and Mia I just can't put into words!

Another amazing book by Micalea Smeltzer - A must read

I received a ARC from the author in exchange for a honest review.
5* read.
I love this series of books, I've fallen in love with every Willow Creek boy and I couldn't wait for Hayes book and Micalea certainly didn't disappoint. It was full of laughs, suspense, tears and of course some hot scenes that made me melt. I felt every emotion as much as they did and I loved all these characters from book one. This book is about Arden and Hayes. Arden has been through so much and your heart breaks along with her, you want her and her daughter to get their happy ever after. Hayes you never really know much about him till this book but when you do you see the sweet and caring side of him when he's with Mia (Arden's daughter) and how even though he's not biologically her father he's way more then that to them both. I don't want to say to much incase I give something away but there was points in this book where I cried my heart out completely hysterical but it was worth it for where this story had to go and how it ended.
This book was bitter sweet for me as it was the last of the series and I'm gutted I wont get anymore Willow Creek books but I can't wait to see what Micalea writes next, she is truly a talented writer and one of my favourite authors. Any romance reader who loves some hot men to drool over and some strong female leads full of amazing writing needs to buy Micalea's books. Be warned though once you start you won't be able to put them down till you've finished them all.

This may be the last book in the series but isn’t it often the case that the best is left to last.
In this case I would say that Arden and Hayes just might be proof of that synopsis, because the two of them are most definitely two of the most fabulous characters.
Arden was in book three but only as the friend of Sadie, so her story was barely touched upon so to speak. She may have spent time on vacation with Sadie and the initial flicker of attraction between her and Hayes might have begun to smoulder but it was no indication of the inferno that was going to engulf them when they finally got together.
Hayes is had his fair share of women, heck he has had every bodies fair share of women – he has never been one to turn down a quick tumble between the sheet, against the wall or anywhere else that the mood takes him but life has begun to take its toll on him and he has finally accepted that what he has is all well and good but it want last for ever and nor does he want it too because this bad boy rocker is ready( he thinks) to hang up his man whore ways and find himself a woman, one that he can call his own and one that will be his forever.
Could Arden be that woman, when Hayes seems to think so!
So what do you do if a rock star offers you forever – well if you are Arden, you knock him back that’s what!
I understood that she had been through a terrible time with her previous relationship, her marriage was one that was shrouded in abuse and one that left an emotional void in her life, she had very little left to give in terms of love and devotion, unless of course you are her beautiful daughter Mia, because this little cutie ate up everything Arden had and that was ok in her book.

was gifted an ARC copy of this book via Give Me Books for an honest review.

I’ve come to realise after reading not only the Williow Creek books but various other rocker books that I have a thing for drummers. And nothing and no one was going to take that way (💙 Maddox 💙)

Until Hayes, Joshua Hayes to be exact but he goes by Hayes.

I’m so very sad though because this is the last in the Williow Creek series. Have you meet the Creek lads before?

Maddox, the drummer, who ritalin was invented for, has a love of hedgehogs.

Mathias, lead singer and gives the word grumpy a WHOLE new meaning.

Ezra, bass player, the shy and quiet one of the group.

Then you have

Hayes, Guitarist and to be honest didn’t know much about him until his book.

Now though …… well let’s just say there in nothing sweeter or tugs on the heartstrings more than seeing a girl and her daddy. He may not be her biological parent but the bond and love between Hayes and Mia is second only to the love between Hayes and Arden.
Hayes melted my heart from the very start and I kept thinking that nothing he did could top the last thing ….. again I was wrong. Over and over Hayes was just perfect (well ok maybe not perfect because what is “perfect”) he was perfect for Arden and Mia though. Tender, loving, a little bossy at times, little bit hyper yet as swoon – worthy as any book boyfriend (again sorry Maddox)
Arden hasn’t had the easiest of lives in recent years, yet having her daughter Mia was the best thing to happen to her from that time. Understandable she was a bit resilient and hesitant to date and trust Hayes at first but that man wasn’t taking no for an answer and proceeded to break down her resistance and win fair maidens heart.
