About the Author

I am an “Indie” contemporary romance author. I live in California with my husband and two teenage boys. I love being a stay at home mom. My husband and I enjoy wine tasting and camping with our kids with our four wheelers in the middle of nowhere, where you can find me with my pink Ryder BB gun! We have a handful of pets, a dog named Lucy (who is in my books) and a guinea pig named Flufy (my son spelled her name that way) and a cat who adopted us many years ago and has never left. She is a spoiled outdoor cat with her own two story house and a heated bed. I never liked reading as a kid. I only started reading romance novels in the past few years. My Kindle and I are inseparable now. A thought occurred to me in December of 2012 that maybe I could write a romance novel. So I went to work with the encouragement of my husband and my sister-in-law. It didn’t take long to figure out that I really enjoyed writing. Today I am a self published author and it has been an amazing journey

I really enjoyed this book,
It was great seeing what sort of character Olivia was. And now open willow was about her memory.
Asher was an amazing man. Couldn't get over how much I loved his family.
The end was not needed though, it made me very sad that Asher was put through that.

*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Willow Emery is devastated when she discovers that she has breast cancer, not something you want to deal with but yourself, but sadly Willow is. Asher Wellington is still devastated of the tragic loss of his wife three years earlier and doesn’t think he will find true love again.

In a hurry to leave the treatment center after one of her Chemotherapy session, Willow literally bumps into Asher. They have an interesting first encounter, one that leaves Willow embarrassed, and in a hurry to get home, and Asher concerned, and drawn to the woman he has just met.

The storyline is told from Willow and Asher POV. It was a touching love story about second chances, loss, healing, friendship, family and moving forward. Will and Asher share a genuine connection, they are sweet together two lost souls who are not looking for love, but fate has other ideas. I loved the way Asher supports Willow he definitely her knight in shining armor and Willow is what Asher needs to see that he can find true love again.

“What on earth did I do right, how did I get a knight in shining armor?” ~Willow

“She is just so easy to talk to, and I can see myself telling her everything” Asher

Take A Chance is Annalisa Nicole début novel, and there is a lot of potential here. I liked the storyline and its concept, but did have I did have a couple of issues first was the dialogue between the characters, I got lost at times as to who was talking, and had to go back and re-read.

The second being the epilogue, and its hard for me to say this as I love my epilogues.

This is one of those books that just a great piece of escapism, the story is so sweet and filled with so much love and friendship, even though there is some heavy issues in the plot they never over shadow the true love aspect of the story.

Asher is such a lovable sweet heart he and Willow are made for each other they are such a strong wonderful couple that have such a connection.
This story just fills you with so much happiness and joy that the love over flows. The whole factor of Olivia bringing Asher and Willow together made your insides warm and mushy and indeed did bring a tear to my eyes more than once, at the cemetery and the wedding especially with the yellow roses on a seat for her, beautiful.

Asher's family really add a great closeness to the whole plot, i can imagine future books with them as the main characters, you want to get to know them more they are really nice people.

The whole story gave me a such a nice feeling inside, until i got to the epilogue then i was thinking why couldnt the author have just left me with the smile i had.

The part where Olivia came was kind of nice but the other parts i was thinking NO! dont let poor Asher go through this again, even thought hey had years before it happened he was still left with the hurt and heartache of losing another wife i didnt want the book to end like that, i wanted a HEA, i know Asher and Willow got it, but i didnt and i kind of left me feeling sad.

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

A beautiful love story that was short but sweet.

This was such a lovely story that often bought a tear to my eye. Willow and Asher were a beautiful couple and I loved how you could feel how strong they loved each other.
There was the story line of Willows cancer but there wasn't loads of drama, this story didn't need it however so the fact that there wasn't, was perfect for this book.
It was just a beautiful love story.
Asher's brothers and sisters were nice character additions as they bought a more light hearted feel.
I loved the overall ending, it was perfect and what the characters deserved, however I didn't love the epilogue, I understand why the author added it in but it left me feeling sad, when the overall story had left me feeling uplifted and happy.
That is my only complaint though, the rest was perfect and this is just the book you need for an afternoon read and those who want a little love in their lives.

5.0 out of 5 stars This Book is A MUST Read!!! Run...Don't Walk. 9 Nov. 2014
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com

I feel an amazing sense of peace, healing, and calm after reading this AMAZING book. When I purchased this book I knew I would be going back into the world of cancer. After 6 years of it being thrown into my face and ending in tragedy one would have thought I would have avoided this book like the plague. I can't convey how glad I am to have experienced this book. Did I cry...heck yes, did I cheer...heck yes, did this book feel like a cathartic healing...yes. This story could have gone into the dull formula so many of the "sick character" stories go but in the masterful hands of Annalisa Nicole words are woven into a healing love story. Richly and completely realized characters. I felt all of the emotions within this story, family, tragedy, illness, spirit, grace, and triumph. This is a book that will take pride of place in my library. I am so blessed to have found this wonderful story and this AMAZING indie author. I can't wait to read to rest of this amazing series and I hope she has more from this wonderful family waiting in the wings. I was not asked to review this book nor was I promised a thing to post my review. I felt compelled try to do justice to this wonderful book so others will take a chance on this astonishing book. Run...don't walk!
Sincere thanks from one very grateful new fan, denise bailey

4.0 out of 5 stars Sweet love story 17 May 2015

Sometimes you really need to read something lovely and light hearted to just get lost in for a while.

This was my Saturday morning laying in bed until midday read.

This is a sweet love story between two people who have both been through their own struggles and sorrow in their lives and they literally collide. Physically she runs into him but their hearts collide too.

Asher is the kind of guy that every girl dreams of meeting, he is sweet, thoughtful and open with his affection. His family is so lovely too and I believe there are more stories to come about them.

Willow is starting to make head way in a new town and a new job when she receives some startling news. She has been alone since she was a teenager and is use to dealing with things alone, having no one else to lean on for support.

A chance meeting with Asher completely changes things for both of them. Willow is completely swept of her feet by this wonderful man.

It was so nice to read a story that wasn't full of angst and drama. Just a sweet love story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful 18 Feb. 2014
By Amanda (AKA the Book Harlots Review) - Published on Amazon.com

This story is absolutely beautiful! The characters are amazing, Willow is so strong to go through what she has in her life and to still keep fighting for every moment. Asher (Willows love interest) is OMG..he is absolutely gorgeous! He has such a kind and gentle soul, going out of his way to care for a woman he has only just met. The two characters fit so perfectly together, becoming each others rocks through the struggles they have to face in trying to move forward from battles fought in the past. Not only are the main characters amazing but so are the supporting characters, I loved Ashers family and how they immediately welcomed Willow as one of them. The storyline is great as well, however make sure to have the tissues ready as it is a bit of an emotional read. Annalisa has done a fantastic job, looking forward to reading more of her work.

3.0 out of 5 stars A nice first book 13 April 2016

This was Annalise's debut novel and my first book to read by her.
As a first book, I commend this author. While looking through her other books to see if she has grown as a writer, I sense that she has. This book to me wasn't her best. The story was a little over the top and predictable. HOWEVER, I want to keep reading this author and this series, because I know people grow and the stories can only get better. I didn't hate the story, I just didn't love it.
Good job on the first book!
