Professor Tahir Abbas FRSA is an Assistant Professor at the Institute Security and Global Affairs at Leiden University in The Hague and a Visiting Senior Fellow at the Department of Government at The London School of Economics and Political Science. He was born in Birmingham, England, and currently lives and works in The Hague. He holds a PhD in Ethnic Relations from the University of Warwick and has worked and taught in the UK and Turkey. His current research interests are the intersections of Islamophobia and radicalisation, anxious politics, gender and violence, and ethnic relations. He is the author, editor and co-editor of twelve books and over sixty-five peer-reviewed articles.
