I bought this book on the strength of the title - the premise of a book about "Two Old Farts and a Motorhome". The first chapter was excellent and very funny. However, the next few chapters (for that is all I managed...) were about the author and her husband's villa in Corfu and travelling here and there by car. The writing is horrendous and the punctuation practically non-existent (erroneous full-stops and lack of speech marks, to mention two things). I could go on, but I won't. Suffice it to say, I was very disappointed indeed and if I could get my money back, I would have a go!

I liked the title, but soon got bored reading it. Writing style is poor and it is heavy going. I got half way through but didn't bother finishing it. If motorhoming is your thing, get 'Europe in a Motorhome' by Hazel Jackson.

Like other reviewers I read the first chapter and thought this book might be a good read. However I was soon disappointed by the content - the narrative reads like a piece of school homework on "what I did in the holidays" and the grammar is appalling. Did no-one do any proofreading? Disappointing with a capital D.

I am in the midst of reading this book. A lot of the text is unnecessary, I said to him and I said to her for example. The couple have had a short time in a rented motorhome in Scotland which they find a great way to travel and see the country. At present in the book the couple are in Crete buying a holiday home, this is confusing and I hope that they actually get back to motorhoming soon!

I paid good money for this book and the best thing about it is - the title!

The 'blurb' was totally misleading - this book is neither humorous, interesting or informative.

After the first chapter it ended up in the recycling bin where it belongs.

Sadly, the book did not live up to the suggestion of its title. I expected a genuinely amusing read but I was very disappointed. Well done to Patti for committing experiences to paper, but she should have had an effective editor to help with the writing. Perhaps the Kindle version (as I read) was not 'kindle-prepared' correctly.

Beginning good but we then lost the motorhome part way through and the following dialogue was rather lacklustre unless you actually knew the places being described. There were a lot of typographical errors in the writing for ereader.

Perhaps Patti might have been better to stick to facebook - her "story" is really just one long blog about where we went and what we saw. The motorhome earned two exclamation points on the cover but little else was said about it. If you are looking for a wee bit of info about the merits of a motorhome, look elsewhere. On the other hand, if you want to hear about old farts, read on.
