Keith Code has long been known as a riding guru, having worked with many of the best riders in all classes of motorcycle racing.

What has not always been obvious is how the technology of riding was just as applicable to road riders, as to world class racers searching for hundredths of a second savings.

This extremely well put together DVD, with a clear voiceover from MotoGP's Julian, is so easy to watch yet is packed with the best riding advice that you will ever find. Keith goes further than telling you "don't do this, do that" and explains what a motorbike really wants from a rider and therefore, how you go about getting the best from your bike.

Forget trying to adjust your suspension or buying the latest go-faster goodies, invest in yourself and your own riding skill set first.

After returning to motorcycling in my 50 something, I wanted to be able to ride comfortably 'making progress' & capably too as a Brands Hatch track day was on my agenda the following year. Technology had moved on considerably in my 30 year absence and with my steed of choice being an Aprilia Falco 998cc V-Twin it was like learning to ride all over again. A twist of the wrist II provided all I needed and more and made the learning experience very 'real' and relevant with all the answers for a new, returning, or even seasoned bike rider could ever need. The whole cornering 'mystique' is removed and demonstrates, in everyday language, how to corner with confidence. It covers so much more too like why we fail to 'make that bend' which all makes sense once it's been said. How did Brands go after a year with this book - let's just say that more modern and higher output machinery struggled to stay with me in the bends and on the straights as I was able to get on the power earlier, and just consistently wind on the beans using that V-Twin torque. The day started very wet and dried out during the day and at every stage I felt more confident and in touch with what my bike was 'telling me' than a lot of the others in the novice category, simply because I understood what was happening and definitely would haven't enjoyed the day anywhere near as much without Keith's help - he's the master at this stuff and would buy it again without a second thought!!!

..its done." Well, I never realised." "Aaaahh. Yes of course." "Say that again." "I see. I understand that." "What about...yeah, I get it." These are just a few of the thoughts I remember thinking as I watched and learned from the DVD. All the typical errors I was conscious of, and quite a few I wasn't, were highlighted and then given simple, easy to understand explanations to the causes of these shortcomings in my riding. Followed by the, equally easy to understand, techniques used to overcome these errors and result in my own cornering improvements. Brilliant. Essential viewing, and re-viewing, for every motorcyclist.

It's getting on a bit but the content within is evergreen.

Physics doesn't really change and the fundamentals are all here. Go faster by being smoother and safer.

Lots of useful stuff you can bring over to the road too.

I've never attended the California Superbike School but have been a student of the original Twist of the Wrist book and DVD for many years. This update is a must watch for motorcyclists, particularly newbies and race track wanabee's. Watch it, watch it a second time, enjoy your riding, watch it again next year, highly recommended.

Although a fan of the California Superbike School and it's application of the science of motorbike control this DVD is put toghether like a overacted and underperformed faux gay '70's porn movie where you expect someones clothes to fall off. The boom mic keeps coming into view; Code wants to be treated like a god (jesus to yanks); overweight actor with Tom Cruise shades and gruffy voice; Nodding knowing expressions and bluff vocations (IT consultant and a Doctor).

Unfortunately detracts from what are really good lessons for the biker. Surprising for Californians who should be good actors.

The way the content is presented in the DVD is VERY corny - however the content itself is really good and very easy to understand. This DVD really explains how the rider and bike work together and I only wish I had watched it sooner.

I previously read the book & found it very helpful however, after buying this DVD it is much easier to take in all the information. I found it very helpful & it improved my riding immensely. Whether your new to biking or experienced I would recommend this DVD.
