Trigger is the President of the Devil's Reach MC. He was raised in the pits of hell and is stone cold killing machine. He has no emotions, no thought for anyone who gets in his way. That is until he meets Tess...
Tess is on the run from her past, and seeks the help of her best friend. He finds her a place to stay and job at the bar of his MC club house. Which is where she meets Trigger. Who she can't help but be drawn to..
This book had so many twists and turns, that leave you begging for more. While you're left holding your kindle in a death grip as the story unfolds. Can't wait to find out what happens next for Trigger and Tess..
This book had everything I expect from an MC book and so much more, we learned so much about Trigger and saw the fire and passion that lives inside him, although he sees them as demons I disagree. Trigger was the ultimate alpha male, he was broody, moody, sinfully sexy and had the rough and gruff dirty talking biker down to a fine art. He oozed strength and just his presence in a room demanded respect, I can’t get enough of this man. Tess, well what can I say, she is sexy, sassy, strong and independent, and unlike a lot of other strong heroines in these types of books, she actually listens, although sometimes she will push boundaries, but only to be difficult and it really makes her character so much more relatable. We are yet to find out what haunts Tess, but the little bits you get from her and Brick her BFF certainly leaves you wanting, no needing more.
This is an MC book and has everything your dark twisted imagination can think of, dirty talking bikers, easy and sly women, torture, death and so much more, oh and absolutely no remorse, I just loved it, not sure what that says about me!!!
There are so many characters in this book that I loved, each one you learn a little about , and of course want to know so much more. I loved Brick, he was loyal not only to his brotherhood but to Tess, and never betrayed her trust, Morgan and Big Joe, Jace and Rail and even Loose all played their parts in the story so well.Read more ›
"Neither was the devil, but look how things turned out for him."
President of the Devil's Reach MC, Trigger has been raised to be a cold blooded killing machine, a weapon of destruction he doesn't blink twice at taking another's life or making them suffer. No remorse, no regret Trigger is feared and revered in equal measure yet his club is unraveling at the seams. With club business being interfered with he is trying to figure out the future of the MC, juggling past deals and carrying the burden of the past yet the new sassy bar wench captures his attention. She is something else and he finds himself drawn to shadows lurking in the depths of her eyes. What is she hiding?
Walking away from her past, running from her demons she turns to her best friend and finds herself at Devil's Reach serving beer to the MC, their woman and guests. Quickly acclimatising to her new role she struggles to escape her demons, the addiction of her past not loosening the grip it has on her. Yet Trigger quietens the noise and makes her feel for the first time in a long time but he's not a keeper or so he keeps warning her. When she finds herself entangled in club business can she help piece together who is trying to ruin the MC before its too late?
Trigger is bloody, at times violent but also has humour and warmth. It ends with a cliffhanger and I can't wait for the next in the series. Having never read anything by this author before I was drawn by the blurb and was not disappointed. The writing style was engaging and held me captive until I had finished. It was well paced with excellent character development.Read more ›
Plaudits have to be given to this author and the fact that she presented this MC, warts and all, she didn’t sugar-coat anything and the story was explosive because of that realism, this was about gritty as you could possibly ask for, with a sizeable chunk of grit and gore thrown in for good measure.
Trigger answered to one man and one man only as he grew up and totally at the behest of a father that spared nothing in his provision of a truly horrific upbringing, trigger was an old hand in the underground fighting scene from a very early age but that past served no-one purpose but his fathers and now that he has gone and Trigger is at the helm of the MC he is trying to do things differently but his past has left its legacy and whether he likes it or not his notoriety preceded him.
Tess, is best friends with fellow Devil’s Reach brother, Brick (aka Matt) and with a serious need to get the heck out of harm’s way she his seeks refuge at his door and in doing so ends up working at their bar. I liked the fact that author didn’t lay all the facts about what was going on with Tess out upfront, she eluded to the issues and that added to the tension of her being with the club because despite the fact that the guys where certain that she wasn’t cut out for their brand of crazy, she was made of tougher stuff and as b***hit nuts as the things that she experienced going on around her, she dug deep.
Throwing Tess into the mix with the club brought out a different side to Trigger, a side that he had no idea how to assimilate, she confused what he had always pictured about his life and the change wasn’t an easy thing for him to get his head around.Read more ›
