This adapter automatically connects to other TRENDnet Powerline AV adapters with no installation required -- TRENDnet recommends pressing the 'Sync' button to automatically change default encryption keys.

Use up to 4 adapters to network devices in different rooms without running additional cabling. Power Save mode reduces power consumption by up to 70%. Quality of Service technology prioritises video, audio and online gaming. LED displays convey device status for easy troubleshooting. Advanced 128-bit AES encryption secures your network. I purchased this for my Talk Talk YouView. They were going to charge me £35 for their own one. I read a review to say someone else had used it for this and took a gamble. As the other person said it works perfectly. I didn't read any manuals, just plugged it into my router and plugged the other one into the YouView box and hey presto it just worked instantly. I held my breath as it was configuring, expecting some problem, but nothing - works perfectly. Would highly recommend.

Never heard of Powerline adaptors until I got Youview from Talktalk - very disappointed that the box supplied was not Wifi (how poor is that?) and thought I was going to have to string about 20 metres of ethernet cable around the house. Bought these instead and it couldn't have been simpler - just connected them up and away to go, marvellous.

Easy as pie to use. I didn't even bother reading the info that came with the box. The quick set-up sheet was enough. Just plug one adaptor into the socket and connect an included ethernet cable to the adaptor; take the other adaptor to another place and plug in there. I used mine in a garden room (there are electricity sockets in the garden room connected to the house wiring) where there was no WiFi connection from the house. Now in my garden room I get 14-15 Mbps whereas sitting next to the router and using the WiFi only gets 8-9 Mbps. Incredible. Only had the product for a few hours; let's see how it lasts over the next few weeks.

My only quibble would be that the adaptor makes some high pitched squeeking noises (almost outside the human hearing range) but it would need to be awfully quiet for this to be noticeable.

The delivery was super quick. Ordered on Friday electing the free 3-5 day service; arrived on Monday morning after the weekend! Very impressed.

Great and compact system to allow you to set up a network in your house. I use it to connect my sky satellite box for on demand due to my phone line being upstairs.

I have been looking for power line adapters for weeks now to use with my Talk Talk You View box ( box upstairs, router downstairs ) after reading many reviews and comparing specs of various units I decided to take a gamble on these .
FANTASTIC WITH NO PROBLEMS OR SETUP ISSUES !!!
Connected unit 1 to router switched on
connected unit 2 to Talk Talk box switched on
sit and wait for 2 mins .....Bob's yer funny aunty.... off they go doing their magic ! didn't even need to press the pairing buttons (this only generates a new encryption code anyway )
all services available including HD streaming without a glitch
great value for money therefore I'm very impressed

Recently received a youview box and talktalk recommended purchasing their powerline ethernet adapter, to use with the item. Of course i took no notice of their advice as they were charging an extraordinary inflated price of £70.00! I did a search in Amazon for powerline adapters and saw these listed for £20.00. Ordered them straight away and received the order in 3 days. Simply plugged the adapters into the wall sockets with the ethernet cables connected, and was connected straight away as the devices were immediately in synch. No need for the manual.

Having had problems with a wi-fi range extender, I thought I would give this a go because of the ease of use feedback. They were right, I just plugged in the lead into the router(latest sky hub) and plugged it into the mains. Then at the other end did the same. The lights on the plug start to flicker and then when connected go solid. Its that simple. The box does contain 2 leads about 1.2m long and very basic picture gram instructions + disc. Now that I have got the connection, I have updated the software on my Blu- Ray player and checked all the on-line apps it contains ( I-player,you-tube etc). My only problems was finding a spare plug to power it and getting the length of cable right.

Due to storm damage our telephone line got wet and so BT had to move landline upstairs and router until other sockets dry out - they are still wet. Could not acess TalkTalk You View Box features such as on demand, record or search facility which was a real pain as only got the box a fortnight ago. Saw in the TalkTalk book that powerline adaptors were required if YouView Box was not near router. Price £50+ if we wanted to order it. Looked on Amazon and due to customer reviews decided to purchase this item. Questions and answer facility really useful as someone had already said it was compatible with their YouView Box. Opted for next day delivery which was free and item received today. No need to read instructions as just plugged it in upstairs by router and one downstairs near YouView Box. Could access Netflix and IPlayer but not YouView. However, easily corrected by just rebooting YouView Box and hey presto, everything works. Definitely recommend. Great price. Now I know about the Q&A section for products from people who have used item, I will always (if required) look at this first as is a good back up to customer reviews.
