- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 November 2024Style Name: AV1000+WiFi AC1200Verified PurchaseMy TV and firestick are on the other side of the house. I already had an AV1000 power line base kit but its wired only.
I plugged it in - it found the powerline signal immediately. Entered the password on the TV and Firestick and connected under the 5g. It took a few minutes - everything streaming fast. Very impressed. Good work TP link - products work well and are easy to use.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 March 2018Style Name: AV600+WiFi N300 KITVerified PurchaseI am a network engineer and I bought this for a job I had to do for a client which involved getting a wifi signal to a set of remote gate posts on a property for a smart intercom / doorbell.
This product for me was both vastly cheaper than buying the amount of cat5 (ethernet) cable I needed and a million times easier than running it down the side of a very long driveway.
I am incredibly impressed with this product and I use TP Link powerline networking gear a lot but the first time I used this model with the wifi option which not only worked really well the wifi signal this plug produced was very strong and rock solid and could be picked up from a considerable distance away.
Setup literally could not be easier you simply plug the smaller of the two plugs into a electrical socket and plug one end of the supplied cat5 (ethernet) cable into the plug and the other end into the back of your broadband router (or network switch / patch panel etc). Then plug the bigger of the two plugs into a electrical socket in the area you want the extended wifi signal in. The bigger of the two plugs also have a ethernet / network port on it so you can plug a cable into it and then into the back of a computer, tv, games console etc and still benefit from the wifi extension too.
Take it from someone who knows their stuff when it comes to this carry on.... this is a excellent piece of kit made by a manufacturer who is unable to make a bad product... TP Link are superb. The price paid is a bargain full stop but as I said above given the cost of the cable I would have to have used this for me was the bargain of the century and saved me a back breaking day of pulling cable.
Cannot recommend highly enough... it's a no brainer ladies and gentlemen!

I bought this needing to get better coverage in one of the upstairs rooms that is far from the router.
The installation was seamless and very easy and linking the device to my current WiFi ssid and password could not be any easier (just follow the instructions). It is really plug and play as described, with a tiny bit of extra work if you want to set it up in a different way or link other devices to it. Having no cables is a nice thing as you only need to plug in one cable from your router to the main device. The overall quality and finish feels really good and premium.
The cons however are that the speed is not as high as described over WiFi. Near the router I am getting speed of 500mbps while being upstairs near the extender the max I get is 150mbps. This is still a big improvement as without the extender I get around 50 so definitely a big upgrade.
I have tried the wired connection and unfortunately that is not really as expected either and seems to be worse than the WiFi. I normally get 900+ mbps with a direct wired connection while through the extender I get a max of 100mbps. I am not sure if anything can be done to improve this but I would be willing to try if the seller has any suggestions.
The stability seems to be ok so far, however latency is definitely slightly higher than going through the router.
Overall good product but slightly disappointed that is not really working at its full potential as described

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 October 2024Style Name: AV600+WiFi N300 KITVerified PurchaseThis product is very simple to set up and starts working within a minute of plugging everything in. Settings for the network can be managed or changed via a web interface or the TP Link app if anyone wants or needs to do so, but the product will work on default settings without any tinkering required.
My only criticism of it is that it only broadcasts a 2.4GHz wi-fi signal and not a dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) signal so I couldn't use the WiFi near a wireless keyboard and mouse as the signals interfered. I have returned it and bought a dual-band TP link Powerline WiFi adapter set instead
I still give it 5 stars as it never pretended to be dual-band and it'll work brilliantly for anyone who only needs 2.4GHz wi-fi

CorradoReviewed in Germany on 9 April 20235.0 out of 5 stars Gutes WLAN-Signal
Style Name: AV600+WiFi N300Verified PurchaseDie Installation ist sehr einfach.
