Have just ordered the Game on the basis of the demo.

Originally puzzled why people have rated this as poor. Must admit it took me a little while to get into it, but once I'd learn't the controls, I was totally addicted to the gameplay.

It involves strategy and manic arcade action and this is implemented in a unique and straight forward way. I think the Graphics are good and certainly not last Gen considering what is going on on the screen all at the same time.

I think you need to remember that this is not providing the same realism as titles such as Call of Duty 2, but is more towards a Cartoon look which is complimented by really funny characters.

As of late, I've been playing this online more than any other Game. Go buy it !! (or try the demo)

Despite what the other reviews might suggest to you - this isn't a 3rd person shooter. Much of the frustration that I imagine occurs from people randomly buying this is that they don't get that.
This is a tactical game played from a 3rd person p.o.v.. So it rewards things like setting up appropriate defences, initiative and learning the strengths of the characters (loosely all 3 characters have different attributes and weapons which include things like speed and purchasing objects). Played as a tactical game its lots of fun. You influence the battlefield by what you stratergize (e.g. call in airstrike to destroy that emplacement there, or use the points (their only resource, gained from killing people or getting your arse kicked) to call in a jeep to circle behind? You can influence the battle, but you cannot expect (ala mercenaries) to take an army on by yourself and win.
It is a good game - though not what you immediately expect. The singleplayer is frankly linear and grindable (you never actually die, just constantly respawn). Enjoyable for an hour or two but limited unless you gotta get all the acheivements.
Multiplayer varies completely on your connection and the standard of you and your opponents. good connection = sweet game. oh so sweet, especially with 6 players. Basically each player respawns with 4 soldiers every time they die. you also call down emplacements which are manned by soldiers. These soldiers are independent of you and run their own ai. depending on how you're playing, its possible to have spawned 4 soldiers, plus how ever many guns you've placed in the map, plus any soldiers left alive from your previous death = a lot, possibly over ten. multiply this by 6 and you realise why there's a problem with multiplayer lag and performance.

I though that the outfit would be a pathetic game, the reviews had persuaded me not to buy (and make the mistake of getting perfect dark zero), but woweee i was wrong, i downloaded the demo and this is the one of most engrosing games I have ever played. The destruction on demand almost revolutionises the way you play, how could someone not have invented it already. The special effects and the sound effects seem very destructive... hehehe. The enviroment is easily modifiable (being blown up), and it is a very tactical game - you rely on capturing bases rather that death tolls - allthough killing is rather handy. I find the vehicle control great, it makes your melodramatic entries through a base wall seem very movie-like, but it may take a few tours around the map to get used to it. Try doing the campaign on at least medium, so you don't get aggrivated online like me. If you like mayhem, you must buy the outfit.

The Outfit is a perfect title for the XBOX 360 and is the one title that has grapsed the meaning of computer games, to have fun!!

The graphics are extremly detailed, both on the vehicles and when exiting and attacking on foot. The calling in and positioning artillary and machine gun nests is the game main selling point. No other games offer such flexibility in how you take out the enemy. For Example: I won a multiplayer battle by loading up a jeep and driving at speed to the base where I used a flame thrower to "toast" the enemy, another time I strategically took each of the outposts and bombarded the enemy with the artllary I had called in.

The multitude of weapons cause endless fun, there is nothing funnier then slapping a sticky bomb on the jeep that just run you over and having your best friends grin wiped off his face as it explodes!!!

Have PG3 and call of duty to show of the grapics but if you really want true gaming buy the Outfit as it offers something different and I dont know about you but I am getting tied of sequels.

So, with some additional background information, I played this game back 7 years a go at a friends house, got the game a year later, raged because I was that bad that I couldn't finish a mission, sold the game, and 6 years later I brought the game again to complete the mission and now the games campaign is complete. Hooray for me... Now onto the product.

The game came out in March, 2006 and it was a great hit then. The concept of the game is that you're able to bring up this cool UI and call in turrets, artillery, vehicles and airstrikes and for its time it was quite destructive. The game is based during WW2 where the Americans are in Europe fighting the Nazis. The game has local splitscreen multiplayer; online splitscreen for multiplayer; local co-op; online co-op; campaign and online multiplayer!

The reason this review isn't 5/5 is because 8 years on, people have moved onto other games. There just about isn't an online to the game left. This is a big section of the game gone which only leaves the campaign, and the local co-op/multiplayer. Sure in a ... 1/24 chance that you'll check the multiplayer and may come across one straggler hoping for someone else to play with, but that'll be it.

Side the lack of online multiplayer, for a 2006 game, it has a good campaign with a decent story to follow. The graphics are good enough for a game of its time, and the scale is pretty big.

The game is pretty cheap, so if you're looking for a game to add to the collection or to just live some old XB360 gaming, sure. Go for the game, but again, there's no online left which will leave some achievements unachievable.
