This is a very well-time release for me as I am enjoying Sherlock Holmes' 'Sign of Four' so I welcome this release with open arms, and am glad to be in the safe hands of an expert detective once more!

Concise and well-written crime stories relying on forensic analysis for their solutions Very enjoyable and easy to read. An under-valued author.

Interesting cases and reading.
Although short stories, and although maybe the author intended readers finish a story in one reading session?
However, shorter paragraphs would have been my preferance.

Rather disappointing. Freeman here isn't anywhere near his best, as for example in THE RED THUMB MARK or PONTIFEX, SON AND THORNDYKE. I had the feeling of an author who was trading on his reputation, sadly.
