When it worked that the temperature only made sense at night, in sunlight it's completely useless - showing crazy temperature readings.
The display soon fades and is very difficult to read.
It lasted about 10 weeks before it packed in completely.
But even with the backlit is hard to read.
The set up instructions are not clear.
Only the back light battery is recharcheable.
Water got inside the display after a couple of indirect drops brought by the wind.
The display faded away it would not work.
Returned the product.
Nov 2012 - I received a replcement for the previous one and this one has stayed in place on the window so far, and works well. Most of my thermometers disagree with each other, so minor variations are of little consequence!! Looking better at the moment
