T.M. Roy has had many jobs and worn many hats over the years, but she's always been a writer and artist. When not at a Day Job, she's still writing, reading, and illustrating. She's been drawing since her fat little fingers could hold a crayon. Since she discovered computers and always had a tight budget, the realisation that painting in pixels was just as fun as painting on canvas--without the mess, smell, or expense as traditional media-- was a delight.
She enjoys reading a wide variety of material, but always falls back to writing the kind of stories she really likes to read: those that contain a little bit of everything with a hefty dose of "what if?" Working closely with animals over the years and feeling the "connection" when good communication is established led her to exploring, in stories, how different species might relate to one another; how differently a culture from one world might think that one from another.
She lives near Portland, OR, USA with a Quaker parrot, two lovebirds, and assorted budgies.
