I bought this grinder recently (not from Amazon) and it's just hopeless.

It coarsely chops the coffee beans in the top container which then drop through to the collecting container way before they are ground fine enough for a decent strength coffee (either in filter or cafetiere).

It's also messy to use and difficult to clean.

No idea how a design like this went into production?

Avoid!

Similar to previous reviewer I made an expensive mistake in buying this grinder. It is over complicated and even then produces a worse result than my previous Russell Hobbs grinder (sadly no longer available). Ground coffee collects in several paces in the machine as the coffee works its way through. And there is always coffee left in the blade area which hasn't ground sufficiently. Plus the hood does not fit properly so the grinding coffee flies out of the sides. Avoid at all costs!

Was not a bad little grinder in looks & did an okay job of grinding the coffee beans at 1st but didn't last long before it completely packed up (only about 2 months use) price was very good but we don't use a grinder excessively as we buy ground coffee aswell from Whittards of Chelsea so I really can not recommend unfortunately. Looks the part & matches most good quality coffee machines but doesn't last very long.

Purchased this a few days ago, grinds perfectly with no mess.
Pop the beans in the top, wizz for 3 or 4 15 second bursts and the ground coffee appears in the removable perspex container.
You might have to grind it twice if you want super fine coffee.
Looks great too.
