A Haynes manual .... 'nuff said.

Have used it since getting my bike and it has saved me a few garage bills. There will always be things I'll prefer to have done at the garage and suffer their costs, but for the regular service and occasional repair, this book has proven invaluable.

It's a Haynes manual, it covers everything that you need to know about working on the bike, a few people have questioned the quality of the paper, and it is thin, but if they used thicker paper the book would be huge, so it's more than practical. This book is indispensable if you are going to be doing any work on your bike, it's well worth the money.

I bought this as I got hold of an SV650S that did not have an owners manual with it; and wanted something to get the basic values of maintenance - tyre pressures, chain tension and basic checks.
Everything is easy to read and well spoken so you can understand each point clearly. The jobs are rated on a 5 spanner system; the more spanners indicated means the harder the job to be undertaken. Someone like me who is relatively new to bikes can quite happily undertake 1 or 2 spanner jobs without many problems.
Ideal addition to an SV owners arsenal of tools.

As most Haynes manuals are, this allows you to get stuck into maintenance of your own, from simple bulb changes, through to more complex engine strip downs, with a good difficulty indicator, As im sure many are, mine is now suitable greasy, but still just as useful, The hardback makes these very durable.

As per most Haynes manuals this is a very useful guide for working on the bike. The clear pictures associated with the text provide an easy to follow description of working on the bike. A great help as not all of the basic service features are obvious. Changing the spark plugs for instance.

Love this book, I own a SV650 and it's a must have.

The only reason I give it 4 starts and not 5 is because of the paper quality, not good... but i'll assume that to have better paper quality the book would be much more expensive... it's a shame anyway.
