I love to write fiction and experiment with different formats. My books are available on Amazon as ebooks or paperbacks. For more information see my website, www.suzeapple.co.uk. I have formatted my novels for both formats and am happy to help other people get published.
I have good IT skills and I maintain 2 websites, my own and one for a voluntary group, my local WI, which is very important to me and is a fantastic group of friends.
In 2014 I discovered a fascinating character from the 18th century, Elizabeth Raffald, and I am investigating her background for a fictionalised biography I am writing. In 2017 I unveiled a plaque to her in Stockport where she is buried and released copies of her directories. I give talks about her life and have produced a booklet (also on Amazon) of information about this formidable woman who produced a number of influential publications. She lived in such an interesting place at an interesting time, at the dawn of the Industrial Age in Manchester, the centre of the cotton trade and industrial development. In 1769 she produced a magnificent cookbook, The Experienced English Housekeeper, which I have now reproduced in modern type, available as an ebook and paperback. For a hardback edition please go to www.equinoxpub.com for an edition with a brilliant introduction by Roy Shipperbottom. For more about Elizabeth Raffald see www.elizabethraffaldsociety.org, or about me, see my website www.suzeapple.co.uk
