Suzanne Fagence Cooper spent 12 years as a curator and research fellow, studying the Victorian collections of the V&A Museum. She has written extensively on the Pre-Raphaelites and Victorian women.
Her most recent book, 'Effie Gray: the Passionate Lives of Effie Gray, Ruskin and Millais' is a great Victorian love story. Effie's marriage to John Ruskin has inspired a new film, 'Effie Gray', starring Dakota Fanning and Emma Thompson. It is released in the UK in Oct 2014.
Suzanne's biography of Effie draws on family letters, unseen in public for a century. It carries on where the film leaves off - showing what happened next, when Effie made her decisive step towards freedom.
