About the Author

COSTAS M. CONSTANTINOU is Professor of International Relations at the University of Nicosia, Cyprus. His research interests include diplomacy, conflict, international political theory and regimes of exception. He is the author of On the Way to Diplomacy (1996), States of Political Discourse (2004) and co-editor of Cultures and Politics of Global Communication (2008).
JAMES DER DERIAN is Watson Institute Professor of International Studies (Research) at Brown University, USA, where he directs the Innovating Global Security and Media project. His most recent books are Virtuous War: Mapping the Military-Industrial-Media-Entertainment Network (2nd ed. 2009) and Critical Practices in International Theory (2009).
