Loved this book, this series gets better and better. I can't wait for Dr Sids story, if it's half as good as Nikki and Raefs then it will be amazing.

Rather formulaic so very similar to previous books (as if the author has some predetermined ratio of plot development/sex in mind). There is very little differentiation between different characters. At times the book lapsed into teaching mode (with some inaccurate data about Irish/Northern Irish politics. Some parts contained gushing, over excited passages while other parts could have done with a red pen to make them more succinct. As someone from Britain I felt there were lots of bits of dialogue that didn't ring true and the whole thing needs a proof reader to weed out malapropisms.

It seems like such a long time since I've read one of Jessie's books, I've been waiting for this but whatever this woman touches it is just gold, this is why I call her my golden lady.
Ms. Jessie makes my reading electrifying, nothing will make you quit till you are at the end. Yes I would recommend this book/series in a New York second. The bickering between
them is comical in fact you just want to keep reading to see what they were saying next. The suspence is another reason I keep reading
this whole book.
Nikola Helen Gray aka Nicki is a DragonShifter whose Dragon is getting out of hand, she knew she was in trouble. But just one kiss, why not, I just want one kiss, can’t I have just one? And so the pain begins.
Rafe Daniel Hartley aka Mr. Happy is a human, and an ex- Special Ops many years before he
worked with Nicki but it ended with him hurting her. Yep his reputation to this date was to love them and leave them. But he will never forget Nicki, she was everywhere he looked, every dream he had. He loved the bickering back and forth with her. Now this big mission is coming up and Nicki was part of it... OMG perpetual hard on! I was gifted this ARC for an honest and truthful review.

SURRENDERING TO THE DRAGON by Jessie Donovan

Nikola Gray hates the dragon hunters, possibly much more than the other dragons because they killed her friend. They are big trouble, causing havoc wherever they go, and now she's teaming up with a human male in the British Special Forces. After six months of collecting intel and watching the head of the hunters, they are ready for their mission. But one kiss and everything changes.

Rafe Hartley offers to work with and help the dragon shifters, a request from his sister. The dragon hunters are trouble for everyone and the fewer the better. When he meets the woman assigned to be his Stonefire liaison, he realises it's the same woman he hurt four years ago. But they push aside their differences, and find away to work together. But things are never as simple as that, and with each passing encounter, he is drawn to the strong, stubborn woman. He finally gives in to his attraction and kisses the dragon woman. What comes next, turns both their lives upside down.

Rafe and Nikki must now decide what to do about their futures. Can they still work together, or will their fated kiss cause a blow to their relationship they can't recover from!

Another fantasic read. I was really looking forward to reading Nikki's story and I was not disappointed. A very entertaining read, filled with action, drama, and suspense. The characters were amazing, I loved the dynamics of their relationship. I liked that for a change the female was a shifter and the male a human, and such a strong human. I like the conversations that Nikki has with her dragon, again it is one of my favourite things in this authors books. Overall, an really enjoyable read and I highly recommend it!

This is a story of the Lochguard Dragons of the Scottish branch of dragons. I love these books and I think this one was better than the last one. Fergus, one of the twins related to the clan leader, is fascinated with a pregnant human and can't stop watching her. One day while in his dragon form he is watching and he sees her grab her abdomen as if in pain. He swoops down and changes to human and runs to her to help her. She seems to be having labor pains so he calls his sister in law to help. His twin brings her, Holly, and she assesses the human who's name is Gina. Gina doesn't want to need help as she has secrets to hide and doesn't want to take chances with her baby but Holly determines that Gina is not in the best shape and needs to go to the clan clinic for hydration.
Gina knows the only way she can be safe is to convince Finn, the leader, to take her in. She is American and on the run from the jerk who impregnated her. Fergus is thinking that Gina is his mate as his dragon is about to drive him crazy. He knows he has to move carefully because Gina is so skittish even though he can tell she's attracted to him too.
This book is fast paced and has surprises that are evident in the beginning. There is an appearance of the Stonefire Dragons from England, and some collaboration with another small clan when they come under attack. I had a hard time putting this down as it is so well written the reader is totally engrossed. I can't wait for the next book and hope we get to hear more of some of the attractions started in this one.
