Dr Sureshini Sanders (b1965) Jaffna Ceylon. Born and brought up in Ceylon. Lived with grandparents but moved to Edinburgh, when grandfather took ill. Was then unable to return to Sri Lanka due to the civil war and her fathers opposition of the then Sri Lankan government. Attended medical school in Glasgow and initially trained as a General Practitioner but later became the first Community Geriatrician in Scotland.
Married Premal Shah a fellow medical student and has two children. Has written several items for the GP press/magazines in the past ,including "How to die" for the RCGP. "The Land Of Lost Content" is her first novel and was researched over a decade. All profits will go to civil war victims.
