I'm so glad I bought it, what a great read, not only a great romance but it was a very witty read. Love the honesty of Violet even though she is pretending to be her sister. Jennings is my favourite kind of guy, sexy, dirty but caring (his nan) and very successful.
This couple were never supposed to meet but Violet doing a favour for her sister meets Jennings and after what she thinks is a one night stand, they come face to face again, with both of them trying to hide who they really are.
I am definitely going to be reading more from this author, and I suggest you take a look at her too.
The idea of Violet and Daisy, twins temporarily changing places, was amusing and interesting and it got off to a great start.
There were a lot of fairly graphic sexual encounters and eventually I thought they got in the way of the story and slowed it down.
I adored Violet - her quirky, crazy character - she's had some problems in the past and is trying to sort her life out. Doing this tour guide gig for a week for her sister is a little crazy and not really her thing, but she does it anyway. Her chance meeting in a bar with a hot British guy makes her step up her game and go for a one night stand thing, to cross it off her bucket list, and so she says she is a Sure Thing for him that night.
Jennings is smoking hot and instantly attracted to this quirky American girl, who calls herself Rose, but he can see she's hiding something, and falls for her quirkiness immediately. They have a mad hot passionate sexy night and he finds her gone in the morning.
When he starts his coach tour with his Nan in the morning the tour host turns out to be none other that the girl he spent the night with, but calls herself Daisy. He's over the moon to be able to spend the next 7 days with her, while Daisy/Violet is nervous and definitely hiding something from him.
A great story line, Jennings is seriously hot with his Britishness - serious in nature with a dry sense of humour and a wickedly hot dirty mouth. Violet can't help but fall for him. There's lots of twoing and froing as the story starts to unravel and we see just how well these two fit together - it was great watching their relationship develop as the story unfolded.
There is also a fantastic epilogue to this story that you will just melt for, one that just finishes this book off perfectly. It was a great read, witty, sexy, funny - I think you will love it, just like I did. A highly recommended 5 British swoony star read!!
Our heroine, let us call her Rose.. no! Let's call her Daisy! No, no. That's not right either. How about we call her Violet? Yep, that sounds right! Violet is in a bit of a crappy situation: she's lost her job, is living on her twin sisters couch, and has somehow agreed to take on said sisters place as a week-long tour guide. The night before the tour begins, she decides that she's going to have her very first one-night stand. Enter the holy grail of one-night stands, Jennings. Sexy, delicious, dirty (British) talking Jennings. Jennings, who Violet assures that she's a Sure Thing. Oh Violet. I'd like to say that's where the laughter came in but for me it actually started on the first paragraph of the first page and it didn't abate. Aston is just that good!
Fun and hilarity ensue as these two embark on a one-week stand and get to know each other as best they can given the secrets they're both keeping close. I loved Violet's inner-musings as much as I loved Jennings' dry wit and ability to ignore Violet's nonsensical ramblings.
I adored everything about this book! From the Britishisms, to the accent that I just cannot wait to hear in audio, to the characters themselves, to the plot. All of it! I think this is my favorite Aston book to-date and I cannot wait to do a reread. I'm also keeping absolutely everything crossed that she creates stories for the characters we met briefly in Sure Thing.
