I needed to revive an mSATA 128GB SSD. This enclosure allowed me to connect the SSD (pulled from a laptop) to another PC via USB, where I could access the SSD to wipe clean the partition, run diagnostics etc. Whilst running the diskpart utility to wipe clean the partition, the enclosure did get noticably warm, however it's the SSD obviously heating due to the activity, but I think there's sufficient room internally and the alluminium enclosure dissipates the heat well. The LED light (blue when lit) is very useful, showing activity when the device is being accessed. I didn't run any benchmark but to wipe with a "clean all" command completed pretty quick, like 5-7 minutes for a 128GB SSD so I think both the USB 3.0 with UASP support attirbutes to the performance of this enclosure, hence the 5 stars!
One other observation, I noticed when you shake the enclosure with or without the SSD, there's some rattling, I would guess this is for the manufactured to consider it a design limitation and does need to be supported internally where the PCB can be seated, like in some guided slots. I don't want to be inserting any dampening materials into the enclosure, but it doesn't bother me enough to score it down, because I'm not using it to transport, but for those who are considering that, you may want to take note of this observation as you may not want the SSD rattling aroun too much during transit.
I recommend this enclosure for it's portable and compact size (picture with AAA-grey and AA-black battery to indicate scale), sleek textured exterior and does the job really well! Now that I've revived the SSD drive, it's back in the laptop with Linux running, so I don't need this enclosure, but still handy to have, shame that I only used it for less that 20 minutes from unboxing it to re-boxing it for later use.
It's boxed, quite well secured and protected internally. Also the following items come in the box:
1 x Mini Philips screwdriver
4 x Philips screws (2 seem to be spare)
1 x USB 3.0 cable (approx. 31.5 cm end to end including connectors)
1 x Enclosure
1 x User manual (which I didn't really need to read, but is describing the specs)
One thing I didn't really check out is if it does sleep after 10 mins as described, but I'm sure it's a handy feature and has it's uses. Overall I used it for less than 10 minutes, and is back in it's box until the next SSD that needs maintenance.

One other observation, I noticed when you shake the enclosure with or without the SSD, there's some rattling, I would guess this is for the manufactured to consider it a design limitation and does need to be supported internally where the PCB can be seated, like in some guided slots. I don't want to be inserting any dampening materials into the enclosure, but it doesn't bother me enough to score it down, because I'm not using it to transport, but for those who are considering that, you may want to take note of this observation as you may not want the SSD rattling aroun too much during transit.
