Andy is the class nerd. No-one likes him and no-one talks to him. Even his parents and sister don't want much to do with him. He's smarter than most and the only person in his life who understands him is Grandpa. When he finds out that Grandpa has terminal cancer and just a few days to live, the bottom drops out of his world. The good news is that Grandpa has not gone forever and returns to help Andy in the form a ghostly spirit. Grandpa's mission: to help Andy get the love of his life to the movies!
Will Andy ever be able to summon enough courage to speak to the lovely Zoe? Will he save her house from burning down? Can he convince his parents and his therapist that he's not crazy? You'll just have to read on to find out more!
This was a fantastic 5 star read, which will appeal to both children and adults alike.
Eran Gadot is an excellent writer. One of the best mystery adventure books in the last time. I've recommended it to all my friends and really believe this is a book worth reading. It also has something for everyone, from an alluring love story, to the attractiveness of superhero stories and last, but not least, the supernatural dimension that wins the day. A fun read!
I can't recommend this book highly enough. Grab it, your kids will thank you for it!
Of course he manages to fall for the prettiest girl in the school! Poor guy. When tragedy strikes his family Andy finds out that he has a gift. A supernatural gift. He can see and talk to the dead.
Together Andy and his Grandpa are on a mission. To bring Andy and this girl together.
It was a quick but heartwarming read. It can be hard as an adult, to convincingly write from the point of view of a kid but Eran certainly hit the nail on the head with this one. A highly recommended read!
Andy is a boy who is not very popular in his surroundings, everyone bullies him at school and at home he is all the time teased by his older sister and ignored by his parents. The most important person in Andy's life is his grandfather and his friend Tom, while his secret great love is Zoe, the prettiest girl in class.
Unfortunately something bad will happen to Andy's grandfather but he will not surrender and remain broken, but will do as he promised to his grandfather - the things that neither he nor the readers did not believe that he has in himself...
`Supernatural Hero' is story with good lesson which can happen every day around us teaching young readers how to deal with the abuse and lack of attention from those who ought to be of help.
I must say that actually the worst part of this book is its cover therefore I can advise the author to change it as soon as possible because it looks sort of speed-made and not with too much interest. But when the reader picks up a book in own hands, she or he will see that it is actually well-written and interesting work.
In Gadot's book certainly many readers that will read this book together with children will recognize themselves, the only question is whether we all have destiny similar to Andy's.
Therefore, `Supernatural Hero' is a book that has great potential for sequels and even TV or movie adaptation, so I recommend it from the heart.
