I thought that this was a fantastic children's read, dealing gently with the subject of death.

Andy is the class nerd. No-one likes him and no-one talks to him. Even his parents and sister don't want much to do with him. He's smarter than most and the only person in his life who understands him is Grandpa. When he finds out that Grandpa has terminal cancer and just a few days to live, the bottom drops out of his world. The good news is that Grandpa has not gone forever and returns to help Andy in the form a ghostly spirit. Grandpa's mission: to help Andy get the love of his life to the movies!

Will Andy ever be able to summon enough courage to speak to the lovely Zoe? Will he save her house from burning down? Can he convince his parents and his therapist that he's not crazy? You'll just have to read on to find out more!

This was a fantastic 5 star read, which will appeal to both children and adults alike.

I was recommended this book as a good holiday read. I read it in three days on the beach - it's a brilliant diversion for any time. The storylines are good, there's plenty of suspense and twists and turns that keep me reading too late into the night!
Eran Gadot is an excellent writer. One of the best mystery adventure books in the last time. I've recommended it to all my friends and really believe this is a book worth reading. It also has something for everyone, from an alluring love story, to the attractiveness of superhero stories and last, but not least, the supernatural dimension that wins the day. A fun read!

Always had a thing for children's book. Supernatural hero has so much wisdom in it. The plot develops well and all the main character have depth you wouldn't usually find in a children's graphic novel. A surprisingly good book that shows you everything is possible. You should give it a try, I'm sure you'll like it. Last but not least, I liked that the author wrote thanks to Andy Murray, the Wimbledon British hero.

Confession I am not a kid but I bought this anyway, and loved it! Andy is the nerd of the class room. He lacks self confidence as he is constantly picked on by his peers. He's over tall and nerdy and he sometimes talks to himself. I felt really sorry for him as I saw a lot of myself in his character!

Of course he manages to fall for the prettiest girl in the school! Poor guy. When tragedy strikes his family Andy finds out that he has a gift. A supernatural gift. He can see and talk to the dead.

Together Andy and his Grandpa are on a mission. To bring Andy and this girl together.

It was a quick but heartwarming read. It can be hard as an adult, to convincingly write from the point of view of a kid but Eran certainly hit the nail on the head with this one. A highly recommended read!

Firstly let me point out that I'm not a child or YA and, I'll hold my hands up, I bought this book for me! I was intrigued by the reviews and sometimes, just sometimes, you find a book aimed primarily at children that you just love. This was absolutely, wholeheartedly the case here. This beautifully written book deals with some strong issues, bullying and death for example, but in a wonderfully entertaining way. You can't help but feel totally involved in Andy's journey from class nerd to superhero. This book has everything, loveable character, adventure, conflict and, of course, the love story! Andy is a great character and kids will love him and relate to him.

I can't recommend this book highly enough. Grab it, your kids will thank you for it!

This children's book caught me from the first sentence, and did hold my attention until the end.
One of the biggest strength is that I really think the author managed to relay what a child would genuinely think – it could very well have been written by a little boy, if his understanding of the English language was exceptional, that is.
Your heart has to go to poor little Andy who just wishes he had more people who cared about him. He’s ever so sweet; but what I loved the most was his mean strike. Damn, it’s pretty lucky that he hasn’t got the access code to a nuclear bomb; his school would go up in a mushroom blast.
The story is realistic; I won’t give too much away but it definitely deal with what children (and adult) have to face everyday – such as grief – and tells it through the eyes of a six grader. I believe it would help parents understand their kid, and other kids understand people around them.
The sporadical illustrations at the beginning and end of each chapter aren’t too much, they contribute to the story without making it too juvenile – it’s a big kid’s story, and they wouldn’t want to seem like babies ;)
All in all? I don’t have much to say against it: it was a wonderful tale.

After his grandfather dies, Andy, the class nerd, gains a special power: the ability to see and communicate with ghosts. Armed with this new skill, Andy sets out to save the prettiest girl in class and win her heart.

‘Supernatural Hero’ has it all, bullying, loneliness, triumph of the underdog, friendship, ghosts, and of course love. I loved the thank you for Andy Murray "a geek become a hero"!

The plot and characters are well-written and thoroughly engaging. This is a great book for middle school kids that even the grown-ups will love reading!
