About the Author

Hi, I'm Lindsey P. I am a proud wife and stay at home mom. After my first child was born, I started to focus on the ingredients used in our everyday health and beauty products. The more and more research I did, the more nervous and upset I became towards companies and their lack of care towards consumers. Fast forward two years, shortly after having my second child, I was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer. During my fight against this disease, I began researching possible causes. I soon began to learn just how many harmful ingredients were not identified on product labels. I vowed once I recovered to share my knowledge through my newly established company producing all natural products, that include soaps, balms, bath salts, etc etc. My books are intended to not only educate, but also to share the knowledge and passion that I have gained through my struggles over the last few years. I have been trying to lose a few pounds and since reading this book I now feel im on the right track to succeeding that goal.
This book has some great tips on which foods to eat to speed up weight loss. I included in my diet oatmeal, goji berries, chia seeds and coconut water. I already feel the difference in myself

I struggle with weight loss and downloaded this for inspiration. I am very impressed with the simple but effective way the information on superficial is given and this has inspired me to make some simple changes which I hope will prove to be effective.

I am so excited that I picked up this little book. It reminded me of so many great foods that I used to eat and have to resume eating! Foods like oatmeal (I make my smoothies with oatmeal), sweet potatoes (I like the recommendation that I should purchase sweet potatoes instead of the regular potatoes). I enjoy sweet potatoes and I am excited to try the recipe of baking the sweet potatoes in the microwave. Apples are also great for the fiber - I enjoy the very dark red ones, they are soooo sweet.
Another thing I like about this book is that the author provides simple examples on how to eat each superfood.

Another great tip that I am definitely going to try is to add white beans to my salads instead of chicken.
Well as today is Mother Day, I am going to the grocery store in a few minutes and purchase myself some of these great superfoods!!! Happy eating!!!!

We really wanted to take our family nutrition and lifestyle to the next level, so I challenged myself to use as many as these ingredients as I could for just a week -- what a difference! It’s amazing how simple replacing mashed potatoes with sweet potatoes does to your energy level! It’s also great to simplify your shopping list with the things that will have the greatest impact on your health and well being. I used this guide to create and plan menus for my family like salmon with mixed kale, and quinoa and coriander to basics like steel cut oatmeal with chia seeds and berries. Everyone loved it and I didn’t have to worry about portions, since it was already so nicely balanced that you couldn’t even overeat.

I've started eating many of these "superfoods" that are written about in this book and I already feel a lot better. If you're like me, losing weight has always been on your mind, but extremely difficult. Who has the time, really?? What I didn't know was that the foods that I eat play a big role in weight loss and just the feeling of eating more healthily motivates you to exercise more. Like many of her other books, the author is very straight forward and super easy to read.

I have been struggling with my weight for awhile now and have been looking into somewhat alternative ways to get back on track.

This book has a lot of unique information to do just that. I especially found the section about the exotic super foods beneficial as this is what I am most interested in.

I was surprised to see that it even had a section for healthy drinks--aloe Vera gel, anyone? :)

Overall it was a good quick read. Would recommend.
