• I get to choose which plan works best for me and my lifestyle.
• The counting the calories chart which helps me to see in a snapshot just how much fat and calories my food contains
• It’s a great looking book with some really tasty and adventurous recipe’s.
• You really don’t feel like you’re on a diet or being deprived of anything! I mean you get to eat Red Thai Curry, pizza, bagels and cheesecake as well as some really interesting unusual stuff!
Overall I think it’s a refreshing change to the usual diet books and I’m really hopeful that for once, not only will I lose weight but most importantly KEEP it off, mainly down to the fact that It really is full of delicious food, the kind of things that I love to eat but only know how to cook the unhealthy versions of (or the very bland tasting ‘diet’ versions).
I don’t feel like I’m on a diet at all infact I just feel as though I’m cooking from an exciting and creative new book. Too be honest I think this crosses over from a diet book, to a book for people who like to eat healthily to those more adventurous people who just like to try new things.
WOW!! The recipes I used before are still tasty but use too much oil. I have tried about 6 recipes and each one has been a success. The flavours just explode in the mouth. I find myself reaching out just for this book to cook curries now.
The recipes are very easy to follow. I would highly highly recommend this book
What is revolutionary in this book is the concept of nutrition without food depravation. Extra workout allows for additional calories intake. Can't go wrong. Receipes are arranged in the logical order: breakfast, lunch , dinner, snacks, puddings and refreshments. Now, every category is presented in incremental calories value per portion. This diet feels like a treat with every meal!
My favourite Thai style prawn and egg fritattas are only 115kcal per portion, turkey meatloaf at 170 kcal and 6g of fat. A virtuoso interpretation of Polish national dish 'Bigos' with chicken and red cabbage - 210 kcal and 6 g fat. And finally a Tiramisu to die for with 170 kcal and 2 g fat per serving.
Fresh, light, exploding with flavour and positive energy meals for all seasons, I will make it this year's stocking filler for my nearest and dearest.
I just go straight to the recipes and what a great selection there are.
I'm always dubious about the Superfood phenomenon anyway - I just chose the book because the recipes tick the boxes as things I like to eat, and keep the calories down.
Nothing in this book is difficult - anyone can make them - so give it a go!
A great book - just need to get his curry book too !
The recipes are simple and the pictures and presentation are beautiful.
It makes going on a diet seem like a luxurious experience.

Following the plan for the first week, I've lost 2 kilos by alternating detox days with non-detox days where on my detox day I am consuming 1000 calories (500 calories base allowance + 500 calories physical activity allowance) and on the alternating non-diet day I am taking in 2500 calories (2000 calories base + 500 calories physical activity allowance).
Doesn't feel like a diet and happy for now. Well done Gurpareet!
