This is a bit of a con really because the front inlay shows two orginal covers, and this would imply it's a re-issue of them both together on a single CD. Not so! Only the first four tracks (out of a total of just eleven, although admittedly rather long ones) are of Messrs Berry and Diddley performing together as 'Two Great Guitars'. The remainder are taken from what is billed as 'The Super Super Blues Band', and here you have Howlin' Wolf and Muddy Waters joined up with Bo Diddley again. Of course as you would expect, it's all action stuff taken from 1964/68 and put out in this form by BGO, but what a sad pity they have to deceive music buyers in this way. It'll cost ya, but try and get the originals.

I bought the Two Great Guitars album in 64 when I was 13, so it is a joy to hear it again. Bo was one of the great founding stones of rock music who never really got the credit due to him, these extended jams were pretty amazing at the time, 45's were pretty short really, two and a half minutes average. Basic two guitar stuff seemingly nowadays, albeit by two greats, but I still love listening to it, and as I said, at the time it seemed amazing.
