Mealworm Feeder This versatile feeder is designed to cover all permutations associated with dispensing this popular food. It can be hung in the usual manner from a tree, washing line or hook. Also due to the design of the base, the feeder can be placed on a length of dowel driven into the ground. The scattering of mealworms on the large base tray acts as an initial attractant and subsequently as a supplementary feeding station whilst also catering for those birds that prefer a flat feeding surface. It is always advisable to have a supply of fresh water available, taking care to break any ice in cold weather. Feeding our garden wildlife and birds is vitally important and lots of fun. See how many species you can encourage into your garden!

The starlings are too clever for this it only took them a couple of days to empty it in seconds, I don't object to feeding starlings but I would like to give other birds a chance, I have now abandoned this one and am trying the Gardman Adjustable Small Bird Feeder.
Ultimately it doesn't matter what I think of the product, but rather what my little feathered friends think! I have a couple of robins that regularly visit my bird table, and I'd been leaving mealworms out in a plastic tub, but the problem is that while the robins love them, so do the magpies! And they usually end up making a mess when they tip over the tub and the worms spill everywhere. So I thought I'd give this product a try.
I fixed a screw-in hook to the side of the bird table, filled this feeder with mealworms and hung it up. Within half-an-hour one of the robins had discovered this new addition, and began feasting on the delicacies contained within. My robin is happy, and so am I.
My only concern is that the tray might encourage the magpies to try and land, but I will have to wait and see; it swings freely so hopefully the weight of a magpie might not allow it to gain its balance quickly.
So to sum up, I'm very pleased with this, as mealworms are relatively expensive compared to other bird foods, and this prevents larger greedier birds gobbling them up.
I think I paid £6 or so for it - definitely overpriced. I've since seen the same design without the bottom tray in a cheapo high street shop for a couple of quid.
