As it travels from Maine down to Texas, this book has it all - tears, laughter, romance, spiciness. The characters touched my heart and made me wish I knew (almost) all of them.
Kate, the heroine, is strong and brave and compassionate. All she wants is someone to love and to love her, a home of her own, and children. Reed, the hero, is a Texas Ranger, wounded - both physically and by circumstances - but works at healing himself. Daniel, Reed's son, is a boy after my own heart.
I love this story and I'm sure I will read it again in the future, probably more than once. Landis did a great job with this fast-paced romance. Wonderful, well-drawn characters, true-to-life dialogue and a story that will make you laugh and cry and all points in between.
I like that it has an epilogue, too, so we get to find out what happens to the characters in the future.
