Really pleased....read lots of reviews about this light show and others and brought it to replace a different one that was brought as a gift. Babies are mesmerized by lights and this one can be programmed for 15, 30 or 45 minutes with switch underneath Velcro. You can choose from three colours (red, blue or green) or on the fourth setting the light alternates between the three. The blue and green are a bit clearer.

Takes 3 AA batteries (already included) and features 3 lullabies and 2 sound effects (running water and heart beat) although the heartbeat and water sounds a bit electronic. Volume control is handy too.

A little smaller than expected (see picture) but fun design with soft wings. Would recommend :)

My baby boy is thirteen weeks and is mesmerised by the lights!! He loves this toy and it would easily send him to sleep. I wouldn't have paid £25 for it tbh would be nice if the lights changed by themselves and the orange isn't as bright as the rest but definitely glad I got it babies interest says it all :-)

I bought this product as part of my ongoing attempt to get my 8 month old baby to sleep in his cot as opposed to my bed. I've tried similar products (think scary looking ovine creatures) with my 3 yo and had absolutely zero success, but figured it couldn't hurt to try this.

We have been using it now for about two weeks as part of a consistent bed and nap time routine and I have to say that it is ok. There are things I like very much, and things I like far less. Baby is still not overly enamoured with his cot, but in all honesty I don't think it's fair to lay the blame for that on poor Frankie.

Things I like.....

The stars - we all love the stars. Blue, green and a much softer and dimmer red. They fill the whole ceiling and are really pretty and peaceful. If you want moving stars or changing colours, this is not for you. Personally, I like the fact that they don't move or flicker or change colour. So I like these stars very much indeed.

The heartbeat sound - baby loves the heartbeat sound. It genuinely does help him settle. It's not so loud that it stops me getting to sleep (cot is next to my bed) but it's loud enough to do the job for baby.

Stars, heartbeat sound and lullabies all work independently of each other. You can have just stars, just heartbeat, just lullabies, or stars plus either heartbeat or lullabies.

It's safe - battery operated, no risky wires near baby, no risk of baby getting to batteries.

Things I really don't like....

The music. Dear God, the music. It's truly appalling. Think warped elevator music with wailing saxophones and you're still not getting close to the sheer awfulness of the music. My advice would be to stick to the heartbeat sounds.

Sceptical about it's claims to send baby into blissful slumbers,I decided to buy one for my 12month old granddaughter......and hey presto it does actually work. The music could be a little quieter but every other function is truly delightful for a baby/toddler.Sends her off in minutes.

Son absolutely loved it From the first moment. Loves the stars, can recognise the projected moon as well and their is a lovely choice for music, heart beat sound or nature sound. Bought another one since!

The lights are lovely but I'd prefer it if they moved. The music is awful! It's like something from a cheesy 80's soap opera/porno and the quality is awful - really tinny. The heartbeat sound is just about tolerable. It doesn't do the job either, keeps her awake if anything!! We bought a Ewan the Dreamsheep a few weeks later and it is SO worth the extra money. It actually puts her to sleep!!

My 2+ year old son loves this. The blue and green stars look just lovely all over the room, and I think I agree with other reviewers when they say that it is better that the stars don't move, it is very tranquil. I don't much like the red lights though as they are difficult to see. The music is a bit old sounding, not really what you expect for a child's toy, however my son loves it and it soothes him right to sleep. My only qualm would be that I wish there was a way I could set it to stay on a little longer. I think it switches off after 20-30 minutes, would be better if it stayed on maybe an hour.
