My baby boy is thirteen weeks and is mesmerised by the lights!! He loves this toy and it would easily send him to sleep. I wouldn't have paid £25 for it tbh would be nice if the lights changed by themselves and the orange isn't as bright as the rest but definitely glad I got it babies interest says it all :-)

Sceptical about it's claims to send baby into blissful slumbers,I decided to buy one for my 12month old granddaughter......and hey presto it does actually work. The music could be a little quieter but every other function is truly delightful for a baby/toddler.Sends her off in minutes.

Excellent little nightlight. Shines stars with a crescent moon and a Saturn-like planet, which our baby girl is fascinated by! She looks around a lot anyway, but the lights on the ceiling have her totally awestruck. Shines red, green or blue, or fades between the 3, automatically switches off after 15 mins. Plays 3 tunes, as well as the sound of running water (makes me want to pee!) and heartbeat sound, or just silence (my preference!). Totally worth the money, and wouldn't mind it in our own bedroom - like being in a planetarium!
Have tried to add a photo as I write this whilst doing an evening feed - daughter's finished and fallen asleep already! :)

My son has to have his slumber buddy music on to settle to sleep, love this product. Could do with a slightly quieter setting for when using in the middle of the night as it seems very loud even on the lowest setting. The music on this one is much better than the butterfly which my daughter has.

A little disappointed with this after reading the reviews. Maybe it's my own fault for not reading up fully but I thought that the projection would move but the projected starts are stationary. Baby seems to like looking at the stars but if anything it does the opposite to what it's selling point is and makes him wake up and want to play! Obviously every baby is different but sadly for my Son, it hasn't had any sleeping benefits.

I had high hopes for this product after reading the reviews, but I'm afraid I have to agree with the reviewer who said the music is not really soothing. It has three volume settings: Loud, very loud and really really loud - none of which I felt were 'background' enough to help a baby sleep and certainly not what I would want bleeting through the house at 4am.

Also the sounds themselves are quite tinny. The heartbeep is just about ok but not a patch on Ewan the Dreamsheep in terms of soothing and calming. When I first turned it on my baby looked more alarmed than anything!

I was also disappointed that the stars display doesn't move around - I misinterpreted the description where is says 'projects around the room' as thinking the display would change or move. As it is, the static stars only really hold attention for a few seconds with my 16 month old baby. Also the light is quite bright - so if you've got it in the cot, which you have to have really for them to be able to see the stars, it makes it lighter than I would want at bedtime.

Having said all this, my 4 year old has now inherited the slumber buddy and he seems to love it. The light is more suitable for an older child that can recognise the stars and planets etc.

So my overall rating, it's OK for a toddler and looks quite cute but it won't replace Ewan the Dreamsheep for getting my baby to sleep.

Not overly impressed with this product and neither is my toddler. Maybe if it's introduced at baby stage is might be better but he doesn't really bother watching it at all. The sounds are terrible, almost as if the speaker is broken and crackled. The projections are quite boring too and just flicker between three colours. There are definitely better products out there than this.
