About the Author

H.Y. Hanna is the award-winning author of a children's mystery series, and also writes mysteries, romances and romantic thrillers for adults. After graduating from Oxford University, she tried her hand at a variety of jobs before returning to her first love: writing. Her books have spent time on the Amazon best-seller lists and she has also won awards for her novels, poetry, short stories and journalism. A globe-trotter most of her life, she was born in Taiwan, but grew up in the United Arab Emirates, was schooled in the U.K. and U.S., and worked in the glamorous world of London advertising before emigrating Down Under. Along the way, she somehow managed to pick up a wonderful husband, a huge, slobbery dog, two rescue cats, and a slightly dodgy "trans-atlantic" accent. She's a self-confessed hypochondriac, is terrified of cockroaches and thinks that everything tastes better with chilli added! Another sweet romance from Summer Beach, this time with a cute kitten to provide the animal fix. Pippa is an ESL teacher who’s spent the last six years in London, but has finally come home to stay. After living so long in the city, she’s ready to settle back into small town life – if only she can find a job that doesn’t mean a two hour trip into Sydney. When she hears a strange noise coming from a car engine one morning, however, she suddenly has a lot more than job hunting on her mind.

Matt’s not looking for any romance in his life. Having recently come out of a long term relationship, all he wants is to get on with his life. Until a kitten in a car engine introduces him to Pippa, and soon Matt doesn’t know what he wants – except to keep on seeing her.

This is a cute, undemanding read, with an adorable kitten and two nice characters. Matt spends much of the story blowing hot and cold, and it’s no wonder Pippa is left utterly confused about his feelings. But the romance is sweet, just like all the others in this series, with nothing more demanding than a kiss or two. There’s a brief blink-and-you’ll-miss-it appearance by Sara from the first book in this series, but other than that you’d hardly know this was part of a series. You definitely don’t need to read these books in order to avoid missing anything, only the setting and a couple of minor characters crop up each time.

So another nice read from this sweet little series, full of Aussie warmth (and rain) and laid-back charm, with a trip to the Hunter Valley thrown in, and a cuddly kitten that might just steal your heart.

(I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.)

In book 3 of this fun and entertaining series, we follow Pippa Martin an ESL teacher who has been working in th UK for the past few years and is now back in Australia; and Dr. Matt Pearson another vet in Summer Beach.

This one was still a nice read, except half the time I just wanted to smack Matt; the entire book he keeps blowing hot and cold and has Pippa in complete disarray. Sure, he had a horrible breakup, but come on. Either move on and try for something new or stop playing with peoples feelings.

Overall the story was enjoyable and Matt does eventually get his head on straight. We still see cameos from past characters and in this book Charlie has a bit more of a predominant appearance, so we know her book is coming soon. Like all the other books, this book can be read as a standalone, so don't sweat it if you decide to start with this one first.

A lovely little novellete that like the others was both enjoyable and entertaining. Easy to read with a happy ending this is a stand alone story with characters interjected from the previous books. Another one for the light reading shelf
