I really enjoyed this story, it was hot, emotional and at times fun. Sean and Melody worked well together, and I liked how it wasn't easy for Sean to gain Melody's trust and vice versa. I did however miss the group dynamic, and always enjoy it when the band is together and messing with each other. Although there is an element of that towards the end, I just wish there had been more. I am though really looking forward to finding out what happens next especially with Ryan and Leah.

Sultry Groove has left me with a huge book hangover; it kept me reading straight through to the end, into the wee hours of the morning! The plot was fast paced and filled with angst. I already loved the Reckless Beat books and characters, but this was by far my favorite book of the series. It was so incredibly good, and I'd give it more stars if I could!

The characters were complex and believable. Sean is a drummer in a rock band. He's tired of being in his friends' shadows, both on stage and with the women, and he's tired of pining after his best friend's fiance. Despite being a hot, arrogant drummer in public, Sean is sweet and vulnerable with Melody. I liked that his personality had so many facets: talented drummer, funny lighthearted guy with his friends, dominant alpha male in the bedroom, vulnerable suitor... His character just really spoke to me. Melody is a dancer who has recently had to retire from her successful career to become a choreographer and instructor. Where she was confident and dominant as a dancer, she finds herself uncertain and self conscious in her new career. They come together to work on a music video for Reckless Beat. (I loved their dancing together!) Will Sean find the "distraction" he needs to stop thinking about his best friend's fiance? Will Melody be able to recover from her physical and emotional scars enough to let anyone in?

Sultry Groove could easily be read as a standalone, but I personally would encourage readers to read the other books in the series first, just for a little bit of background knowledge on the Reckless Beat members. And because the series is fabulous! I can't wait to read the next book, Reckless Rendezvous! I'll be very sad when the series ends!

I reviewed this book on behalf of A Book Lover's Emporium book blog.

This is Sean and Melody’s story and together they make a beautifully broken couple. Sean craves the spotlight and Melody would give anything to remain hidden. This is a tale of heartache, love, lust, desire, hope and acceptance. Their story shattered my heart and put all the pieces back together again at the same time.

Fed up with always being in the background within the band and playing second best to his best Friend. Sean is struggling he is in love with his best friends Fiancée and is at breaking point so when the band ask him to be a dancer in the video for their soon to be released song he accepts.

Melody is THE dancer every girl wants to be and who everyone wants to be associated with, that is until tragedy strikes and the feisty, outspoken confident dancing Melody changed in to the sheltered, secluded, reserved choreographer Melody.

Their first meeting doesn’t get off to the best of starts. Sean is drunk and doesn’t know when to bite his tongue but one thing that is apparent is that they have chemistry.

Both dealing with emotional, mental and physical scars can they move forward and gain all the things they both deserve.

This story has it all….angst, dirty talking rockers, sexy men, sassy ladies and hot fiery passion that is off the chart. Well done to Eden for another fantastic Reckless Beat book and may this series never end!
