This book contains some really nice recipes, however I am very disappointed as it has not been formatted well for the Kindle. There are numerous tasty looking recipes, however the pictures are not very good. There are pictures, but they do no follow each recipe, and the quality of the pictures leave a lot to be desired. It is probable that poor quality pictures may not matter to someone who is familiar with Turkish food, but I find them imperative. I love cooking different types of cuisine from all over the world and it would be nice to have them as a guide.

I purchased this book and I am not hugely disappointed, however I doubt very much I would have purchased this at full price.

a great all-around book, falling apart after all this time (i've had mine for 11 years!!) it has done me very well with all our trips to turkey (i am cook on a yacht), always found something new to make & think about, the guests & crew have always loved these dishes, and that, after all, is the most important thing!
i'm finally going to buy another turkish cookbook this year. i'm telling myself it's because we'll be spending more time in turkey, but it's probably more because i want to use different recipes...it's probably about time! but i will keep my old stand-by onboard...just in case!

Bored with curries and stir fries and having been to Turkey several times and Istanbul specifically, I bought this book to have a crack at cooking something different at home. It's brilliant, I can't claim that I've worked from cover to cover but everything that I've cooked from this book so far has been very nice to excellent. Recommended.
