Unlike the darkness and seriousness of S&S, this tale has a lot of snarky humour and wit from Leslie who has an oversized heart of gold, and who unfortunately suffers quite a bit from foot-in-mouth-itis; the latter gives rise to a lot of laughs, and also some very tender, very emotional moments. Oliver, mired in darkness and some degree of very understandable depression, fully deserves the happiness, sass and brightness that Leslie brings him, though he's not convinced of this himself, and his demons and insecurities rear their ugly heads more than once.
I loved that although they were entirely opposite in outlook and character, they meshed as well as Draven and Taylor, though with a very different relationship. I loved how much of Leslie's LOL thoughts I was privy to, and that everything he did was from the heart.
This tale reads a lot quicker than S&S, but has all the elements that I need in a MM romance - a proper tale, great, really sweet leads, hot passion (and yes, I'm talking about a certain very 'visual' scene that I can claim a connection with. Thanks, Susan, you rock!), really sexy and earthy sex, some heartache and angst (there's a moment in this tale where I literally felt a pang in my chest at the words one of the leads utters as his happiness seems to be about to be snatched away), loyalties tested and a lot of courage on the part of both guys. If like me, you're a romantic, then I can promise you that your heart will clench in pain more than a few times, and will then rejoice at the ending.
Talking of the ending, well it's passionate and sexy and exactly what I needed in a tale where the leads were so different; it made me feel that their relationship would go on to be an equal one, with lots of trust, passion, protectiveness, hot sex and the start of their HEA.
It's a great book and one that'll be keeping my other SMN Keepers company on my Kindle.

P.S. - I'm sure that you'll love this tale, so you'll be pleased to know that there are glimpses of all the past leads in Feat of Clay, the next in the series, that I've also had the privilege and pleasure of beta-reading. Though I don't know when that releases yet, I think SMN won't mind my letting on that if you're expecting a great tale, full of love, passion, angst and demons, you won't be disappointed. I mean, it's a given that these are the staples of a SMN tale, though of course, the storyline is entirely different...and, for me, especially poignant. And, if my memory serves me well, we get introduced to a standout side character who may well end up with his own tale in the future. Whether it'll be part of the Men of London series, I'm not sure, but either way, it's one to read, one that had me wondering how she'd be pulling off a romance with more than your average challenges. Thank goodness she writes so quickly!
Just finished the best M/M book I have read in such a long time.
Loved everything about it.. Nicky Starr oh so tragic and broken.
Really don't want to give away any of the story as it had me hooked in the first couple of pages.
Oliver Brown's name sounds so boring to Leslie Scott when he is asked to deliver him a suit...
until his dream's come true and he meets the Porn Star of his dreams and fantasies!!

Leslie story is... well is full of Leslie LOL, is charming, sweet, funny, camp, romantic, sexy, its everything I was expecting it to be and more.
It was a beautiful book, after Sight and Sinners we were all left expectantly waiting to hear Leslie's. We have fallen in love with him since the fist book in the Men Of London Series. We knew that inspire of being such a cute and quirky character he also had a very sensitive side to himself and that whomever fall for him was in for a multicolour ride!.
The story begins when Leslie is asked to deliver a suit to a prominent client from the company he works for, Debussy. What we don't expect is him being greeted by ex-porn star and total sex God Nicky Starr, however he goes by his real name now and is carrying a hell of a lot of bagage. What happens once Leslie sets foot inside Oliver's house sets in motion of a multitude of funny yet heartfelt encounters. You see Nicky (AKA Oliver Brown), has been terribly hurt, in more ways than one, and the psychological and physical scars he is carrying have been a hinder for him to properly form ties with anyone. However he wasn't expecting Leslie Scott to knock at his door, wearing an uncomfortable thong and a killer smile. His life will never be the same. We also are joined by previous characters Eddie, Gideon, Travis and Draven from the last books, well Leslie needed his friends too!!
I totally adored this book. It had so much charm, it had so many LOL moments but also had romance and very very steamy encounters.
Well done Susan Mac Nicol for another enjoyable read.
5 massive CAMP stars.
