It has some great recepies, however it does not really use the powdered stevia for baking. It tends to use sugar free syrups, like agave with a few drops of stevia. Having just bought the powdered stevia, I haven't managed to do any baking yet. It's a simple to use book and a great idea for those wanting the combination of wheat free and sugar free.

Because this book does NOT use lbs or ozs or even k or grammes I found it hard to use. But then I am old and set in my ways ...ie I like accuracy and this book does not allow me that.

I just wanted simple recipes for a gluten free diet. The recipes in this book have far too many ingredients that I cannot buy locally. Doubt if I will use it.

Again the problem with this book is that it is written for the American market and as such there are some ingredients that are difficult or expensive to get. If you take the ideas behind the recipes and adjust them to what you can easily buy in the UK it is a useful starting point.

I don't know where in the UK you can get most of the ingredients listed in the recipes, certainly not in supermarkets. Unless you want the ingredients shipped to you from the US - this is not the book for you, I was very disappointed. I was hoping as a diabetic to get some recipes for sweet treats - but it just isn't to be.

When I ordered this book I was aware that it was an American publication but thought I would be able to convert the ingredients to products available in England but I found it far too Americanised and so returned it to Amazon very disappointed. Amazon as usual promptly refunded me.
