Success Or Your Money Back contains 30 chapters and they each appear to cover a different subject. They are however linked, and take the reader on a journey of self-discovery. Yes, that does sound a bit flowery, but that’s only down to my limitations as a writer. In a nutshell, each chapter is a hugely encouraging pep talk, packed full of reassuring nuggets of information, some of which you already kind of know but will benefit from having explained to you. If you’ve ever thought ‘all adults are bluffing it’ for instance, it’s good to discover you’re not alone.
Unlike many self-help books, many of which have a narrow focus on a particular issue, this book’s advice will resonate with anyone who wants to improve their situation or who just requires motivation. It’s written in a wonderfully informal style, yet this doesn’t detract from the serious points it makes. Read it in one sitting if you wish – personally I think you’ll stop reading very early on to start jotting down ideas and plans of action – or keep it handy and dip in and out of at will: either way it’s hard to imagine anyone finishing this and thinking it wasn’t worth the purchase price. If I could give the author one piece of advice, I’d urge him to create an audiobook version.
This book gives even more tips than Ideas Man (although I feel its important to read both). Shed really does give you lots of tips oo what to do with your ideas and how to realise them. Highly recommended!
Like its (British) author, I have had lots of ideas but lacked the confidence/encouragement to work them through. Shed's book explains how you can achieve what you want, using illustrations from his own career, some of them painfully honest. It has given me the impetus to follow my ideas. Thank you Shed!
Good points are that is set into short bite sized paragraphs.
Down side is that it probably should go into more depth in explaining his ideas and should add some real world examples. This would improve the book.
