The book contains some useful tactics for time management and how each section will be layed out, but not a great deal more than the UKCAT website. The questions also contain quite a few errors (book is obviously rushed) which was a pain.
Sadly it is probably the only real book choice to purchase for this test but I would advise doing the mock tests on the UKCAT website..only purchase this item if you are truely struggling with what is being asked of you for each section of the test.

Format: Paperback
This hastily produced volume is more likely to harm your chances of succeeding than providing either practical or moral support. Many of the example and mock questions are too obscure or downright difficult compared to actual exam and can be demoralizing. There are numerous errors throughout the text giving the impression of a hastily produced, poorly edited and profit motivated publication. I hope these problems will be addressed in the 2009 version or I would suggest saving your money. The UKCAT website provides useful and realistic mock questions.

Format: Paperback
The questions in this book are, as a rule, harder than the UKCAT itself. As a primer, therefore, it is invaluable, but there is a fine line between challenging students and demoralising them.

And, yes, it contains too many errors.

However, I would recommend using it to prepare for the exam; if nothing else, it familiarises you with the style of the questions.

I found this book really helpful and what I especially liked was the fact that it had loads more practice questions than the other book I have bought. Being able to do a full test whilst being timed was also really helpful and having the answers fully explained meant I leanr't alot quicker. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to do well in their UKCAT.
