This book is hilarious, the story is too far fetched for reality to have a place, but I giggled throughout. Megan broke up with her boyfriend because he was cheating on her, but has neglected to tell her parents, who have organised a large, lavish and expensive wedding. They have never met her fiancé. She flies home a few days before the wedding is supposed to take place, still trying to pluck up the courage to tell her mother, who is the brides mother from hell. When she gets on the plane she takes Dramamine to calm her nerves, and not realising that it does not mix with alcohol she has a couple of drinks. Josh is trying to save his business, and happens to sit next to her on the plane. The pills and alcohol take effect, she is flirty with him through the journey, but is out of it by the time the plane lands, unable to walk, and he carries her. Her parents assume he is her fiancé, and he goes along with the deception because it should help him sort out his business issues. That is when it starts getting really funny. Everything that can go wrong does - Murphy's Law working at its best! And just when it all looks as though it is going to be happy ever after - chaos ensues once more!

A most enjoyable read.

I'd been waiting for this book a while, ever since reading the sample. It didn't disappoint. I've read every single Rose Gardner book, including the novellas and the latest Christmas one, so knew I liked Grover Swank's quirky writing style. I really enjoyed this book but have now got over 4 months to wait for the next book in this new series. I can't wait for that and the next Rose Gardner novel. Keep writing, Denise... Your characters really make me laugh, I love them. They are a breath of fresh air!

When a mix up leads to Megan passing off a stranger as her fiance neither are prepared for the sparks that fly between them .However Josh has his own agenda ,one that's becoming harder to remember, throw in her ott mother, mistrusting brother and two best friends that both want the best for her just not the same idea of what best is,not to mention her nude yoga loving gran ...made me giggle a lot as one disaster follows another. All the while neither Megan or Josh want to deny the growing attraction between them . Suddenly the fake wedding is looking anything but...

What a sad sorry excuse for a book. Painfully slow. 49% in and nothing happened to keep me reading the full 100%. Just can't be bothered. I can't even be bothered to flick to the end as it's clear what the ending is. Waste of my life I will never get back reading this.

A fun read with family intrigue and some crazy moments. The basis of the story plot is unbelievable and I was ambivalent about Josh's deception of Megan but it's a fun read and I liked it enough to be buying the next book!

This series must be read in order. This is the first book.

Megan dumped her fiance Jay 6 weeks ago when she caught him screwing his secretary on his desk. Now she is beyond desperate because she is supposed to be getting married in a couple of days and she has NO GROOM! Her mother terrifies her... What is she going to do!? Worried about airsickness she pops a couple Dramamine and boards the plane determined to enjoy the first class amenities. After a couple of mimosas she finds herself confiding in her gorgeous seat mate the whole sordid quandry... What is wrong with her?

Josh is on a last ditch mission to save his company. At a convention Noah(his brother) met a girl...The next morning (after the slept together) she had scampered off with the plans for a part they were patenting. Now with the patent denied his only recourse it to try and get proof the other company stole it. How will he get access to the other company to find proof? Will he really pull it off by crashing the guy's daughter's wedding? Why can't he ignore the gorgeous woman sitting next to him on the flight?

***This series is suitable for adult readers who enjoy a little comedy in their contemporary romances with a dash of Fate :)

I'm so glad I gave this a chance. I hadn't read anything by this author before so wasn't sure what to expect but it was brilliant right from the beginning. I loved all the characters, Grams especially. It made me feel so many emotions which makes it a great book.

A light enjoyable read for those times when you need a bit of the 'feel-good ' factor even if a predictable ending is in sight.

I absolutely loved Grams - and she is definitely a member of the Growing Old disgracefully Club!
