I've tried other makes and these are better in every respect than anything else I have tried. Sizing is always going to be a bit of an issue with something like this because the overall dimensions of footwear don't have much relation to the size of the feet inside. I bought a pair of these-over-the counter for £20 (!) and tried them first to make sure they would fit. I thought they were good value at that price. I've used these on ordinary shoes and Bogs Tillamook Bay rubber shoes (size 8.) They fit very well and I've had no problem with them coming off. The material seems very strong and I have no qualms about stretching them over my footwear. The studs are formed on metal plates moulded into the rubber (eight spikes to each plate.) There are two of these plates in each sole and one in each heel (24 spikes per shoe.) This means they are not going to suffer from the studs coming out unless they completely disintegrate and the quality seems too good for that to happen. One small drawback of this method is that on a hard surface - such as tarmac between the snowy bits, it's rather like walking on small blocks but it's not really a problem. They are easy to remove when no longer needed. I've used mine several times over the last week on snow and sheet ice and they give a feeling of complete confidence. I'm a pensioner walking on icy pavements rather than a mountaineer.

These are much better and stonger than other types of ice shoes I bought last year. The ones from Sports Direct had springs on and although they gripped, the rubber gave way with stretching so much. The ones I bought from other shops had spikes in which fell off after a few weeks. These ice shoes have small triangular metal spikes in them and are much better quality rubber than other I have had. These will not tear up carpets/lino if you come into the house with them on before taking them off. Very pleased with these.

very pleased with delivery etc , we have not had any snow or ice this year so can't actually say these work well but they certainly do look as if they will , I have advised my sister to get some . my only critisism is that I wish I had got a larger size as they dont go over my walking shoes size 7 very easily really have to stretch them and could imagine the rubber sides may snap after a while , these do say up to size 9 - but if you are going to put them on anything other than everyday shoes go for the larger size !

We bought these snow shoes for my wife in the event of making life difficult getting up the road in the snow. They haven't been used yet but remains a sensible stand-by in the event of the need to wear them.

Took a few minutes to get used to wearing these, but they do the job and grip the snow/ice, making for less risk of slipping. Make sure you buy the correct size, as the rubber will not stretch far, I have used these only a couple of times, so don't know how hard wearing they will be, but, so far, so good.

I did not use them in January when I bought them, but then got them out ready for this winter only to find they were broken in a number of places. I wrote to this supplier 8 days ago and have not even received an acknowledgement from them. So it seems a rubbish supplier selling a rubbish product don't buy.

These arrived very quickly and have proved a boon in this snowy and icy weather. Excellent. Remembered the tip from an earlier review and bought a larger size than my shoes. This was a good tip. You need to pull them up well at the front and at the back. Having done that they work really well. A good investment.

Ordered these as the forecast was not looking good and these looked good and the price was right (£6 ish). The item arrived within three days of ordering and I went to put them on a pair of trainers. I have size 8 feet and although they were slightly tough to get on - once they were on they fitted snugly.i used them on our icy and treacherous pavements and they worked a treat ! They seem tough and well made and the studs are firmly secured. I have only needed them for a couple of short journeys but they seem as if they will last a long while. All in all - good value and a good experience. Recommend
