I don't know why we don't hear more of this talented author. If you like Irish novels, then Roisin Meaney is hard to beat. Forget comparisons with others, she stands out by a mile. There is just something about the characters she creates which has you thinking about them long after the book has been put down. Her latest offering focuses on members of a choir, coming together to rehearse for a concert. But it is everything else in their lives and how their lives interact which makes this a riveting read. As with all Roisin's novels, the high point of the story has you reading frantically as you work out just what has happened. It is the perfect novel to take on holiday, read on hot sultry nights when sleep evades you or to snuggle under the duvet with when the weather invariably turns cold. I also recommend One Summer, set on the fictional island of Roone and the two follow up novels, After the Wedding and I'll Be Home For Christmas as well as Roisin's other novels. You will be hooked!

I'm a big fan of this lady's writing & The Street Where You Live didn't disappoint me. Well written characters & I especially enjoyed the dialogue. It made me think how you can meet a complete stranger & yet there is always that chance that both of you could know the same person/people.

Once again Roisin Meaney brings her book to life.
Great characters with real story lines.
My only criticism is that the characters were all a bit sad and lacked some light hearted personalities
I will still look forward to her next book
