This book was half interesting to me, partly because I liked the role Chuck Zito played in the HBO prison series "Oz", and partly because my buddy Fin hangs out with Chuck in LA from time to time. However, literature it ain't, but the pace of the narrative moves along fast enough. It's actually quite amusing in many places, such as the story told by Chuck about his pal Lewis G. Alvin, who has to commute to work every day 2 hrs in each direction, and then comes home one day to find that his old lady Annie hasn't even gotten outa bed at 7pm, leaving the kids to run around in soiled diapers. Crazy woman has spent the day painting her toenails and watching daytime soaps. Poor old Lewis blows a gasket, chucks out Annie and sets up home with a couple of strippers from Wisconsin, and, hey, what a riot of a time they had! Or the stories about Chuck's biker buddy Morton Guerrerin, who rips everyone off in the neighborhood whilst also entertaining their wives, to the ignorance of his old lady Conchita! Chuck's a serious dude when it comes to the fighting, but the tale about him getting his hide licked by local businesswoman "Mad Val" makes you think that anything's possible. All in all, a good read, and probably the best book not written by the daughter of a prime minister this year! Worth buying from Amazon.

This book gives a good description of Chuck's life as a Hells Angel and portrays his life and that of the club more accurately than most fictional books ever manage.
Everyone's opinion of the Hells Angels seems to be that they are a bunch of bad guys who care about nothing and no-one. This book gives the other side, showing that you can be an outlaw and still have a life, and a good one.
Chuck is a Hells Angel, a holder of 3 black belts in different martial arts and a very successful bodyguard to the stars. He has also done extensive acting with great success.
Not all bikers are bad and Chuck has managed to build a great life for himself while still staying true to his involvement with the Hells Angels.
A great book... and a fantastic read.

If your a biker or just generally interested in 'different' lives then this is a good read for you. Chuck has recently appeared in the 'Sons of Anarchy' series and this gives a very interesting look into the life of a very intersting guy.

A few years ago I had no idea who Chuck Zito is until I watched past seasons of HBO's show "Oz." Chuck played one of the inmates and did a great job and I became interested in learning more about him. This was a good read. I give cheers and kudos to someone who can make their own way. Chuck wasn't born into wealth, money, or fame ... he worked hard ... Sure, he may have bent a few rules a long the way. But overall, if you're looking for a good story, this is a good read.

If you're looking for a book that on every page the guy or gal telling the story wants to tell you how tough they are this is the book for you. Zito, apparently after the age of 15 yrs. old has never even had a nail broken while fighting. he must be even tougher than Mike Tyson. Almost every fight he gets into results in him KOing his opponent with one punch. By the way. In Zitos book he says nobody could ever infiltrate the Hells Angels. It's been done. Read the ( in my opinion ) great book by Jay Dobyns that shows it can be done.

This is an interesting man that knows the best and worse as to what life can bring us.I do believe him as to his innocence to the alleged charges that sent him to prison. Many things he could not write about in this book and I understand why.But it may have been for those reasons that Karma was served. But all comes out in the wash and he is back among the successful again. He is the type of guy that in the end he will always land on his feet.
5.0 out of 5 stars An Interesting Hells Angel Story 27 Nov. 2012

I really enjoyed this autobiography written by Chuck Zito and Joseph Layden. I have never seen his television show, Oz, but would consider watching it in the future if I had the chance. I was not familiar with Chuck and found his story interesting and well written. I bought his book because I have a interest in the Hells Angels and like reading about them. Having known Sandy Alexander, I was thrilled to see him mentioned so many times in Chuck's book. There isn't much about him anywhere on the internet and believe me, I have searched. That was the real reason I bought this book to begin with, hoping he would be mentioned. He was.

I believe Chuck Zito was innocent and his story is the truth. I have learned over the years that our American justice system is not what we think it is. Unless you have dealt with the law, or someone in your family has, you never really know that. Believe me, it will open your eyes.

Chuck rocks!!!! He tells it like it is and that is a great characteristic to have, not many people out there have it. I love that he remained faithful to his families (home & Hells) as well as trying to be the best he could be. He seems like an honest man that lives how we should all live...... Treat others the way you want to be treated. I loved his book and giving is a peek into his life he worked so hard to get. Great book and Godspeed!!!
