The pad also feels small and at first can feel awkward to hold, but the button layout is perfect for Street Fighter and you don't have to deal with pressure sensitive buttons that can mess up your game and the turbo works as it should. This pad is also really good to use on many older games like Genesis because of its simple layout.
With a bit of practice it's a much better option for beat em ups, Madcatz just need to start putting more effort into making these better quality though.
The only controller that has ever stood up and allowed me to batter it was the XBOX 360 controller. After repeated use in such an extreme way the controller is still working perfectly smiling at me and saying "Bring it on".
Save your money people. Get a real controller ( XBOX 360 ) controllers all the way.
The D-Pad doesn't register diagonals well due to the massive travel distance for the rubber pads between d-pad and circuit board, buttons feel mushy and require too much pressure to register inputs for the same reason.
FYI Madcatz won't replace the rubber contacts when they wear out (which they will pretty fast if you watch the video); this is not a question of IF but WHEN.
Just buy an original Sega Saturn controller from ebay for the 6 button layout and the amazing d-pad it has; get the Sega Saturn/N64/PS2 Controller Adapter by Mayflash; I have this setup and there's NO input lag whatsoever. I even tried it side by side with a PlaySega USB pad and the inputs were cleaner and way more precise (although that may be due to the PlaySega controller being a cheap knockoff of the original pad - which incidentally can be used for spare parts for your original saturn pad - they're identical as far as I can see apart from the shoulder buttons).
